April 1. Didn’t quite make it out of bed by 6:00 as hoped, but not too long after that I was up for shower and hair washing. After breakfast and quiet time, I started on March progress report. Then got a few food items together to take to church as Daddy and I thought maybe we could help out with work day a little bit. We chose a “small” project -- cleaning the small classroom at the end of the hallway in the brick building. Daddy got the east wall and part of the north wall scrubbed. The scrubbing motion was not a good thing for avoiding vertigo. I scrubbed the two little tables and a small stack of little chairs. The scrubbing was painful for the muscles and joints. We were sorry to have to leave the rest of the room for someone else to finish. So we didn’t stay for lunch as planned. Headed for SC for gas, and then returned home for lunch and nap. (Actually I had eaten my lunch in the car, and Daddy went off to Subway for lunch as there was nothing prepared and he had thought he would be having pizza at church.) After nap, I finished the progress report, and we all got ready to go back to church for Don Swaringen’s 80th birthday party. All his family were there, a number of friends, and some church people. We enjoyed the time of celebration. We do appreciate Bro. Don’s prayers and the encouragement he has been to us. After we got home, I had a bite to eat and then cooked up some meat, onion, and spices, and added part of that along with tomato sauce to some rice I already had cooked -- Spanish rice for Daddy’s dinner tomorrow. Saved a little of the meat and onion for myself. This evening, Cilla called, and I enjoyed a nice chat with her. “But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.” Hebrews 2:9 Thank you, Lord, that Jesus died for EVERY man, not just for a few elect, but for everyone. He wants all men to be saved.

March 29. Praise the Lord for another lovely day! The morning was busy with several projects -- wrote an e-mail; made a shopping list, a vitamin supplement list, and a new journal. When those things were done, I washed a squash and put it in the oven to bake. Then Daddy and I went for a walk. It was so nice to get out in the fresh air. This afternoon, I proofread the next chapter in The Isles are Singing and sent it off to Connie. Made up April’s schedule calendar. Started on a project. Did the dishes. Jacob and Viola Hughes, missionaries to Moldova, were with us this evening at EBC. We praise the Lord for how the Lord is using them in Moldova. What a wonderful message Bro. Hughes brought to us from Revelation 5, verses 11,12, “Worthy is the Lamb” proclaimed by one hundred million angel voices and more. “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” Hebrews 1:8 Jesus is God, for God Himself called Jesus God. March 30. The Lord gave us a damp, cloudy, drizzly morning and rain later this afternoon. We are thankful for the rain. Today was shopping day. As soon as I had finished quiet time and breakfast, we headed out to town. A quick stop at Walgreens for one item. Next was Aldi for a few things, and last of all WalMart. There weren’t very many people out shopping today, so it didn’t take us as long as usual to get done and get back home. I fixed Daddy a hamburger for dinner, and some squash soup for myself. Using the squash I had baked yesterday plus a carton of prepared squash soup and some herbs and spices, I enjoyed a refreshing dinner. This afternoon, I worked on a couple projects and got a couple greeting cards ready, one for an anniversary and one for a birthday. Did dishes early, and now I have time to sit and relax. “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands.” Hebrews 1:10 Jesus is God. God called Jesus “Lord” and attributed to Him the work of creation. Yet in Genesis 1:1, the Bible states, “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” March 31. Rain storms during the night and early this morning, but turned out to be a sunshiny day after that. Today was spent doing laundry, writing e-mails, talking over plans for visiting people, talking about how to set up a missionary training program and getting some ideas written down, and a few other little jobs. “1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him.” Hebrews 2:1-3 March 27. It was 11:30 before we got back to the motel and ready to settle into bed. It was not a good night for me. Mistake number one: drinking that yummy coffee before bed. I stayed awake and tossed and turned most of the night. Mistake number two: taking senna tea before bed. I guess I didn’t need it. Mistake number three: standing out in the cool night air. Didn’t have any “Clear Lungs” with me, and during the night, I felt like I was catching cold. Got up and took ibuprofen. A little later, I got up again and ate almond butter and drank rice milk. Got up a couple minutes after 6:00 this morning. Had shower and washed hair. After getting dressed, we went downstairs to get something to eat. I had a banana and yogurt. Then went back up to the room and had some of my quinoa and read my Bible. We left the motel around 8:20 and headed for home, traveling across state, around Raleigh, Greensboro, Statesville, etc. Had to make several pit stops along the way. Also took several little naps along the way. Didn’t stop for lunch until after 2:00, eating at Golden Corral in Hickory. Arrived home just a few minutes after 4:00. So good to be home again. After getting the car unloaded and putting away food items, Daddy and I had a nap. I was awakened once by the loud roar of a lawn mower outside our window, but rolled over and went back to sleep. After nap, we unpacked and put away the rest of our things. Also set up computer and read half of our dozen e-mails. The other half (ads) got deleted. “Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high….” Hebrews 1:3 Jesus Christ is the express image of God the Father. March 28. We had wanted to go to bed early last night, but it was going on 11:00 before we finally settled down. So thankful to the Lord for a good night’s sleep and a little extra sleep in the morning. It was after 6:30 when I got up. The Lord gave us a lovely warm day. After breakfast and quiet time, I washed and hung out clothes. Daddy went off to WalMart to get just a few groceries to hold us until shopping day (Thursday). While clothes were washing, I wrote a few e-mails. Cooked and mashed the two leftover sweet potatoes and three leftover potatoes for our dinner. Heated the rest of the chicken gravy which I put in the freezer before we went away, and also peas to go with our dinner. Before nap, I sewed the button on the other bootie and then took some pictures of the layette before putting things away. Made up the bed, and I was soon in dreamland. This afternoon, I transferred pictures from the camera to the computer and edited those. “And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” Hebrews 1:6 Jesus is God, for the Scripture says “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Matthew 4:10 And yet God Himself commanded all the angels to worship Christ.
