This particular Sunday held some difficult moments that I wasn't able to include in the journal notes. Please pray for Mom and Dad as they deal with some challenging things in the ministry. Thanks. June 28. Woke up about 5:30 to the sound of rain, and kept thinking, “I hope Daddy gets up soon and starts a fire.” But he never did. Must have been still half or more asleep as the next thing I knew it was 6:30. Didn’t even hear the lotu bell ring down below. It rained off and on all morning, although no heavy rain, and thick fog hung around everywhere. The fog had finally lifted by the time I got up from nap, but there were still heavy rain clouds hanging on the mountains and above. I’m thankful today wasn’t the day for Daddy to come home. He never would have been able to get here. The first one to knock on the door this morning was Amos. He wanted to find out how I was doing. After that, I got my breakfast. Had my Sunday tea drinks and then just made oatmeal since I had had pancakes the past couple days. Had quiet time, made the bed, put my signature on the painting of Daddy and fixed up a frame for it, put the picture in the frame and hung it right above my craft desk. After that, I did some walking. Then sat down at the computer to finish the journal notes file I had started last night. A little bit past noon, Midyu came to the door. He thought Daddy was here and he wanted to know what was going on in the church and have Daddy give him some Bible verses. I still had a hard time sleeping at nap time, but I did at least get some rest. After nap, I wrote in my journal and then listened to a message on flash drive, one by Pastor Weiss on the Virtuous Woman, but making application to Christ’s bride, the church. Afterward I worked on Revelation until the computer needed charging. Put it on to charge and got another picture ready to start painting. After bath this evening, I worked on the Revelation lessons until time for Daddy to call. I was so happy to have that time to talk together. The Lord sent us more rain this evening too.
