September 29. The Lord gave us another warm, dry season type day. Slept in this morning until I heard the 6:30 lotu bell. Then I got up to make our Sunday pancake breakfast. After breakfast and quiet time, I worked on English lessons in the computer until church time. A number of people were here early for church this morning. Amos was feeling well enough to start the service so he took care of the introductory matters and then called Dallas to come and lead songs. Mike preached this morning since Daddy is still dealing with a cold and bad cough. He completed his preaching on the purpose of the church. Matthew preached the afternoon service, having as his text I John 3:1,2, and bringing out the greatness of God’s love for his children. This afternoon, I did more work on the English lessons. Also put math review exercises on the chalkboard, started looking over the next science unit, found 6th grade lessons dealing with greatest common factors and lowest common denominators (the eighth grade lessons are rather complex). Did the dishes right away after supper. Practiced keyboard a while. Enjoyed a nice bath since the evening was still warm. Finished the English lessons. Had a snack. Printed the English lessons and photocopied math lessons and a math quiz. “28Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee. 29O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalm 118:28,29
