June 24. So thankful for Anna Jean! Today she washed and hung out clothes, cut up pumpkin, and swept the floors. Then we enjoyed listening to her practice keyboard. In the meantime, I was able to have my breakfast and quiet time, make the bed, and write a couple e-mails — one contained birthday wishes to Joanie, and the other was for C&C and had Revelation 19 study notes attached. After I got those e-mails written, I set them up in outlook in Daddy’s computer. He tried for a while to send them but couldn’t get a connection that would stay. Off and on throughout the rest of the day, I worked on Revelation 20 study notes. A couple times, I took a short stretch out in the sunshine. It was such a lovely day. Everything is very dry, however, and we are praying for rain. For dinner, I made rice patties with the leftover rice. After nap, I studied for class and fixed egg salad for supper. Taught Kristen Famili class, and questions surfaced about aborting babies. Nehemiah was back from Pinata in time for classes. After class, he stayed and talked with Daddy for a while. He is preparing to do outreach in Pinata today and in Waisara tomorrow. June 25. I was thankful for a restful day today. Mid-morning, we enjoyed some time outside in the fresh air and sunshine. Spent my computer time working on Revelation 20 study and making some small changes in the Kristen Famili lessons because there were some questions at the end of lesson 1 that didn’t have answers in the text. Nehemiah came by this afternoon to get his speaker that he had brought in the morning to be charged. He was going to go speak at Pinata, but he learned today that Nueri died last night. He is Andru’s brother and well-known in the community so they expect there will be a lot of people there from Marivo as well as Owena, Waisara, and Pinata. Nehemiah wants to take the opportunity to preach the gospel as there is such a great need. Nueri used to be faithful serving in the church, but went off and played cards (was gambling) and got into other sinful things. His death was very strange, just like Matyu A’s. He came from his garden with stomach pain and kept getting worse so they brought him to the health center. They gave him IV and while they were checking him over, he just died. This evening, I printed the rest of the outreach pictures for the year. Praise the Lord that is done. June 26. Very chilly again this morning, but the Lord sent sunshine, and I was able to sit outside for prayer time and to get warm after getting breakfast, reading a chapter in John, making the bed, and cleaning up the kitchen. Had a little time after that to read and meditate on a chapter in I Samuel, finish coloring a picture I started last night, and color another one. Then it was time to start dinner. Potatoes had to be scrubbed, peeled, and cut up. Ground beef needed herbs and other things added to make a meatloaf. Another few minutes were left to relax before starting things cooking. Once the burners were turned down, I had another fifteen minutes to color before mashing the potatoes. Then we warmed up some pumpkin and ate our veggie before having mashed taters and meatloaf. After nap, it was time to wash hair. The rest of the afternoon and part of the evening, I wrote up a will and testament for Daddy and me so we can have an official seal stamped on it. This evening, we enjoyed a special time of fellowship with Mike and Taqita (little Orpah was with them as well as Michelle’s baby), Pita, Nehemiah, and Anna Jean. Mike led us in a couple songs and then shared his testimony about the work in Minj. Afterward we enjoyed a little food fellowship — just mocha crème cookies and water this time. They ate lots of mocha cremes though. After they left, Nehemiah was to head over to Marivo to preach at Nueri’s funeral.
