September 10. Instead of going for a walk this morning, we decided to do a little work around the yard. We didn’t work long, however, as the air was already getting warm and humid by the time we got out there. We got out a rake and pulled down a branch of a pecan tree out front that had a couple big worm nests in it. I was holding onto it with great effort so Daddy could cut it. At that time, a neighbor came along and asked if he could help by holding it, and I was happy to turn it over to him. As soon as Daddy had it cut, the man was gone so we didn’t get any chance to talk with him. There was another nest a little farther up on the branch, but it was out of reach once the branch jerked back up into its place. After that we got ready to go to town. Left a little after 9:00 and went first to WalMart. There was hardly anyone there this morning. That was unusual. Then we went to Big Lots as Daddy wanted to get bread there. The bread man doesn’t deliver bread until afternoon, however, Daddy was told, so there was no bread there. I was thankful to find several bags of good snacks and quite a few healthy drinks that I can have. Last stop was Aldi. Arrived home around 11:30. Got food put away and had lunch. This afternoon, I did some printing, worked on a needlework project, and then fixed sweet potatoes, chicken, and salad for supper. Also noticed that one of the apples in the girls’ apple bag was going bad so I trimmed off the bad parts and baked the apple. Was too full to eat it for supper, but maybe will feel like having some later. “22Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: 23That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.” Acts 26:22,23 As we witness to others, we need to be sure that we speak only those things contained in the Scripture, and in particular, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
