April 6. Christy didn’t have to be at work until 7:00 this morning as they were just having a meeting for the teachers and staff. And she was also to do some cleaning. Daddy took her to work, as they had taken her car to A+ yesterday afternoon and left it there for a tune-up. I did a load of wash, and Daddy hung them out. Then at 9:15, we left for an appointment with Dr. Cook. After leaving Dr. C’s office, we went on up to Hobby Lobby to get yarn and magnets. Then over to Big Lots for a couple food items. Also found a nice string of spring flowers in the Easter markdown section and we bought those for Christy’s frog planter. Last stop before heading home was Mighty Dollar where we bought one more flower for the big planter by the door and a couple greeting cards. It was nearly lunch time when we got home. After lunch, Daddy had to go back to Christy’s workplace and pick up Christy. She had just a short workday today. When they got back, Daddy and I had nap. This afternoon, I got back to work on crocheting. Have a lot to finish before C&C have their tea party with the real estate ladies. This evening, it was Christy’s turn to do dishes so I did more crocheting, folded the clothes that were washed today, and looked for a place to buy reasonably priced curtains for the girls’ kitchen. “His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.” Song of Solomon 5:16 As I read the last portion of chapter 5 of this Song this morning, I meditated on how lovely my Saviour is. He is altogether lovely. How thankful I am that He is my beloved, and that He is my friend. April 7. Rain during the night and a little rain this morning. Wrote notes in a couple greeting cards this morning—one to be mailed, and one to take to church. Did a little cleaning up out on the carport and took some pictures of the flowers. Helped Christy decide where to hang her pictures. Made a new journal as there are just three pages left in this one. Cut up veggies and cooked them; then added the leftover chicken we had brought home from Ruby Tuesday’s the other day, and made the leftover mashed taters into tater dumplings to go on top of the veggie/chicken mix. That made a good lunch with enough left for dinner tomorrow. This afternoon, Christy and I marked places to hang pictures and small knickknack shelves in her room, and Daddy drilled holes and put screws in place to hang things on. I also looked online again for places to buy curtains; and of all the places I looked at, it seems that WalMart has the best prices. This evening, I made my rusty fingers play a little bit of piano. “3And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” Romans 5:3-5 Help me, dear Lord, to glory in tribulations, because I know that tribulation worketh patience, and You have said that I have need of patience (Hebrews 10:36). For through patience, I gain experience. And experience brings hope, which makes me not to be ashamed because God’s love is shed abroad (poured forth; poured out) in my heart by the Holy Ghost which has been given to me..
