November 6. I did manage to get to bed by 10:00 and had a pretty good night’s rest, thanks to the Lord. We were thankful for the opportunity to work a bit on translation this morning—checking John chapter 7. It has been quite a while since we have been able to get to it. Have really felt like it is urgent for us to get back to that. Life has been so busy with so many other things, but we do need to make translation a priority. I know that once we find another home for the girls, moving is going to take up a good bit of time. There was leftover spaghetti in the freezer so I thawed that out for Daddy’s dinner and made spaghetti sauce to go on it. Right after we got up from nap, the phone rang. How nice to hear Beth’s voice and have a chat with her again! While I was talking with Beth, our neighbor, Michael, came to the door to say good-bye. He had just come back for his last load of belongings. Did the dishes before supper while C&C were out shopping. This evening, I transferred pictures to the computer from the Kodak camera and started fixing those, but have a ways to go yet. There were pictures in there that Connie apparently had taken that I didn’t realize were in there. Guess it has been several months since I have used that camera. “6Wherefore say unto the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with a stretched out arm, and with great judgments: 7And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. 8And I will bring you in unto the land, concerning the which I did swear to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob; and I will give it you for an heritage: I am the LORD.” Exodus 6:6-8 “I am the LORD” x 3—the Trinity. JEHOVAH, the three-in-one Jehovah, is the LORD. JEHOVAH, the self-existent, eternal One, will perform what He has promised and will finish His work. The LORD was with His people at the beginning, in the middle and at the end. “I will” x 7—completion. JEHOVAH God will always do what He promises and will always finish His work. November 7. Damp and cloudy most of the day and a little rain. Hung laundry in the house. After breakfast and quiet time, I made a birthday card for Pat and put it out in the mail; but the letter carrier didn’t come today so the card will get there late for her birthday. When that was finished, I got busy making a pot of celery soup while Daddy went off to WalMart to get a battery for the car and pick up some bottled water and a couple other grocery items. Most of the rest of the day was spent transferring the rest of the pictures to the computer, and cropping, enhancing, and resizing all the pictures. Daddy and Connie went out late this afternoon to vote in local elections. Christy also went out a few minutes later to vote on her way to a work meeting. (Her work meeting turned out to be a painting party. Surprise!) I didn’t go out because I don’t seem to be making any headway in getting rid of this sore throat and earaches that I picked up just the day before we came home—actually it started Friday night. Sent Connie journal notes and pictures from the week before last. I love the ALL/NONE verses in Psalm 34. “1I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth…. 4I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears…. 6This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles…. 9O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. 10The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing…. 17The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. 19Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all…. 22The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.”
