October 20. No early morning sunshine today, but the Lord did send the sun around later in the morning, and we enjoyed getting out once again. Early this morning, we put a load of laundry in the machine to wash. I wrapped my hand with TP so I didn’t touch any switches or any part of the machine with my body. Later in the morning, Lynn came along and hung out the clothes. In the afternoon, she took them down and folded them and left them outside the door for us. Daddy’s report to Kevin this morning had nothing unusual, and there was improvement on my being able to drink and eat without the nausea pills. After lunch, however, not long after Daddy took his zinc capsule, he got really dizzy. He has zinc sulfate 220mg, enough for 14 days. Wow! That seems like a lot to me. We’ll see how he does with it tomorrow. It was a blessing to be able to sit outside a while again this afternoon — until the rains came, and the world became wet and chilly. This evening, the Lord sent quite a heavy rain. October 21. There was no sunshine this morning, and it was very cool and breezy out so we couldn’t sit out. The day started with Bible reading, today finding strength and encouragement in John chapter 16. Then I peeled and cut up a popo (papaya), putting the larger portion in a container in the fridge and cooking a smaller portion for pancake syrup. Hadn’t had pancakes for some time, and I was looking forward to some so that’s what I made for breakfast with a couple extra for Daddy’s morning snacks. After breakfast was prayer time. Later, I had my morning nap, Mike had Daddy call him this morning so he could let Daddy know that Taqita’s mother had passed away last night. Both she and Taqita’s father had been sick. Don’t know if her father is still sick, or what his case is. For dinner, we ate the last two meat pies that Daddy had bought when I was too sick to cook. I was thankful that the Lord gave us a short period of sunshine this afternoon, and I was able to sit outside and also walk a bit before the skies became dark and the rains began to fall. This evening, we listened to last Sunday morning’s meeting at VBC, with visiting missionaries Frank and Jenny Maietta.
