August 20. Praise the Lord for a good rest last night. Was up around 6:15 to take a shower and wash my hair. Then I started the laundry so we could have that done before Lynn came to work. Prepared and ate breakfast and started quiet time while things were washing. By then they were ready to hang up. Finished prayer time after that and then did a short Bible study in Leviticus. Worked for a while on setting up II Corinthians. Then Daddy and I went out for some sunshine and exercise. Worked on II Corinthians off and on throughout the afternoon and the early part of the evening. Praise the Lord, I was able to complete through chapter 7. At supper time, Wenera called, and Daddy called him back. August 21. It has been quite a busy day. First thing after breakfast and Bible reading, we got the towels and bedding together and put one load in to wash. Had prayer time while things were washing. We hung out the first load and put in another and I continued prayer time. Then we hung out the second load. About 10:00, we got ready to go shopping. Just needed a few things. Went to Papindo central first, then King Wee, Bintangor, and last of all Yida. It was a little after noon when we got back to the flat. I didn’t have anything made for my dinner, and it was too late to make something so we had lunch — tuna-tomato sandwiches. After nap, I got busy in the kitchen. There was a popo that needed to be cut up; and then I needed to make myself some supper. (There was still leftover spaghetti and carrots for Daddy.) Made a pot of creamy carrot soup for myself. After supper, I read the day’s e-mails and sent some pictures to C&C. By then the soup was cool enough to blend so washed out the blender (I had used it for a smoothie in the morning) and had the soup taken care of in no time. Then it was time to do the dishes. August 22. Went to bed a little bit early last night, but wasn’t really tired so couldn’t get to sleep. Finally got back up around 11:20 and was up reading until midnight or a little after when I felt tired. Was thankful to get some sleep after that. It was pancake day so was in the kitchen quite a while at the beginning of the morning. Fixed Daddy’s breakfast first, and then finally had my breakfast and quiet time a little after 8:00. Cleaned up the kitchen and then relaxed a while talking with Christy and Connie for about an hour. Such a blessing to be able to talk with them more often while we are in town. Later in the morning, Daddy and I took a little stroll in the sunshine. Before dinner, we played a game of Boggle. We wanted to play Scrabble, but a third of more of the tiles were missing. Then we were going to play Upwords, but there were no directions. So Boggle was the only choice left. After nap, we watched a video by NTM pilot Ryan, taken when he flew into Owena from Bulolo on his way back to Goroka. The Lord sent us a little rain this afternoon, the first rain in a good while. After supper, we listened to this past Wednesday evening’s service from VBC in Lattimore. Then I did the day’s dishes.
