July 4. It has been a busy and painful day. Put my back out when making the bed, pushing the mattress back up to the top as I usually do. The mattress is not heavy, and I thought I was pushing with even pressure on both sides, but my back went snap. After breakfast and quiet time, I wrote a birthday e-mail to Beth. Today is her birthday and is also American Independence Day. Tomorrow will be remembrance of my spiritual independence day — 72 years. Praise the Lord! Finished the rest of the outreach coloring, and then started working on the progress report and finished that in the afternoon. Made yeast biscuits for my dinner to put spaghetti sauce on. Then I got out the blender and whipped up the greens I had cooked a couple days ago, adding the leftover pumpkin broth and some seasonings. That would be our veggie for dinner, but in soup form, since I have a hard time chewing the greens. Later, while the biscuits were cooking, I cooked the spaghetti and made the meat sauce. In the afternoon, I made yogurt. There was no school today because Anna Jean helped Rex carry coffee and had not come back. Ana was happy to have the day off too as her family was busy gathering money to buy her brother’s bride, a daughter of Poqo. In the evening, I worked on the II Corinthians outline. July 5. Praise the Lord, I was able to sleep pretty well last night. The back still has quite a bit of pain today but a little bit less than yesterday. I was thankful that Anna Jean showed up to do laundry this morning. She didn’t get back from her coffee journey until 1:00 in the morning. Yane wanted her to wait for him to get back from town, and he didn’t get back until 9:00 p.m.. Then they walked back together. After she washed and hung out clothes, she did some weeding among the flowers. There were carrots to peel and cut up after she came inside. Then she had a cup of coffee and some bananas and afterward played the keyboard. Daddy and I changed the office around so his computer is no longer facing the window. Even with the curtains closed, the sun was too bright for him. Computer time was given to making sure certain words were translated and spelled consistently in the New Testament translation.
