September 10. What a busy morning! I didn’t have any cooked breakfast food left so put some oatmeal on to cook while I had my morning drinks and started quiet time. Right after breakfast and quiet time, I started getting ingredients into the crockpot for the weekly soup, a mixed veggie soup this time. When that was all together and had started cooking, I cut up some mushrooms, zucchini, and yellow squash which I put on the stove to cook with some onion and salt and pepper. In the mean time, Daddy and I started checking Galatians chapter 1. I got up a couple times to check the veggies and then once to serve myself a small plateful to eat for snack. We are thankful to the Lord for His help in checking both Galatians 1 and 2. Then it was time to start Lewis’s dinner. Made him a small shepherd’s pie, just a small one because there was only a small amount of leftover mashed potatoes. When I was done making that, I sat back down and made corrections in the Galesia file and then set up chapters 1 and 2 in the print file, adding the English for chapter 3 as well. By the time we had eaten lunch, soup was done so I turned it off so it could cool while we had our nap. Right after nap, I added tofu (that is, after I thawed out the tofu in the microwave; it had gotten frozen solid in the back of the fridge) and pureed the soup, bottled it up, and put it in the fridge. This afternoon, I set last week’s journal notes up in a file to send to Connie and also transferred a few pictures from the camera to the computer. Got those edited and then sent a few to Connie along with the journal notes. Then I did some more outreach lessons for MTP. Christy called Daddy and told him the water shelves were getting empty at WalMart. People are buying up in preparation for the possible hurricane effects that are predicted for this weekend. So Daddy went out to get water. He had to get cases of the individual bottles because the gallon jugs were already gone. There was quite a stack of dishes to do this evening after all the cooking I did today. While I was in the middle of that job, we heard thunder, and Daddy looked out the window and saw dark clouds. He looked outside and called me to come see the cloud front. I dried my hands off, grabbed up the camera, and went out and took some pictures. Later on, we got a good drencher. Praise the Lord for the rain to cool off the air and water the earth! Then I finished the dishes. Asked Daddy to dry a few so I would have room to stack the rest in the drainer. After snack, I searched for some doily patterns; and later Daddy and I had some Bible study and prayer time together. September 11. We went out a little before 9:00 this morning and spent most of the morning shopping. Went to WalMart first and got more water, some bananas, an inverter, and some socks. Then we went to Crossroads, Hospice, and Salvation Army thrift stores. I was thankful to find a good number of nice blouses, but I didn’t find any jumpers which I also need. It was a little after 12:00 when we got back to the apartment. We had lunch and a nap before going on over to C&C’s place. This afternoon’s work was to write a couple more outreach lessons. After washing dishes this evening, I started a crochet project. Then we had our family time before going home. I worked a bit more on crocheting after we got home. “20And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house, 21Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.” Acts 20:20,21
