August 27. Daddy went out shopping this morning for a few things we still needed. Now we just have last-minute things to get. I stayed here and worked on computer lessons to teach Judy after we get back to Owena. This afternoon, I cut Daddy’s hair. Then I started an e-mail to Bro. Jim H, which I finished after supper. Finished the two computer lessons after supper as well and made the students copies. Later, Daddy and I played a game of UNO. Then I did the dishes; and by then, it was time for our devotions together. “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” (I Peter 2:24) “And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” (I John 3:3) August 28. This morning’s activities included laundry, a chat with Martha, a walk in the sunshine, writing an e-mail, and, of course, breakfast, and Bible reading. In the afternoon, there was more time to pray before peeling and cutting up carrots to cook for supper, and cutting up garlic and onion to cook with chicken. There were leftover potatoes to go with the chicken. This evening, we listened to Wednesday night’s service from VBC -- Dr. Spencer’s sermon on the Pergamos church, and particularly their allowing Nicolaitans to come inside. “I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:51) August 29. The month of August is quickly passing. If the Lord tarries, we will soon be into September. The day began with making pancakes. Then we could enjoy eating them and having quiet time. At 9:00 came the special time of calling Christy and Connie via Skype and spending an hour plus with them. Then David came; and while Daddy went down to let him in, I put bread out for the birds. It was nearly 12:00 noon when David left. Then we had dinner. Had a fairly long nap, but had been awake since 4:30 this morning. Afterward, I did a little Bible study in Leviticus, had a snack, and then wrote in my journal. Cleaned the bathroom sink and washed Daddy’s and my masks. We had been invited out to dinner this evening at the Watsons; but because of Daddy’s cold, we weren’t able to go. (He gets a cold almost every time he goes to Goroka, especially if he stays in town a long time.) A little while after our supper, I did dishes, and then we listened to a message by Pastor Weiss, I also worked on setting up Galatians and finished chapter 3 except for the last few verses.
