September 11. A very cool and damp morning. A little bit of rain. Praise God for His care for us, and for the many whose lives have been spared from harm in the wake of Irma. Sent out a couple e-mails this morning, and then printed out updates for individuals and churches who receive them by mail. Then Daddy and I went out to WalMart to try to find emergency candles, but didn’t find any. Also needed almond milk which they did have today, and they also had a new supply of water so we got extra for us and for Connie. Threw a few other items into the cart as well. Then we went to Big Lots to see if they had the candles, but none there either. We bought a few food items while we were there. It was just about noon when we got home so had lunch and then printed out the envelopes for the updates I had printed out earlier. Gave the envelopes and letters to Connie so she could get those ready to mail while we had our nap. When I got up from nap, however, there were the letters sitting on my desk. Now what? All the letters, except the first one printed, had a word missing. Now how did the computer do that? We had proofread the first one after we printed it out, and it was fine. What happened to the other ones? Oh, well. I wrote in the missing word by hand, and Connie then got them ready and out for the letter carrier to pick up. After that, I started making my soup for the week — sweet tater soup again. Then I proofread a couple of the Proverbs lessons. Had supper. Wrote four missionary songs in Pidgin. Did the dishes. and cleaned up the kitchen. Now I’m relaxing with a bowl of mango ice cream. “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.” Genesis 17:1 The “Almighty God” = the mighty God who is omnipotent. The mighty God who is omnipotent wants all Abraham’s spiritual seed to walk before Him and be perfect just as he wanted for Abraham. Isaac walked before God — Genesis 48:15. King David walked before God and charged his son Solomon to walk before God — I Kings 2:4. Hezekiah walked before God with a perfect heart — Isaiah 38:3. “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 September 12. Damp and drizzly all morning so clothes went into the dryer after being washed. Daddy and I finished checking John 6 this morning, and then I set up the rest of chapter 5 and all of chapter 6 in the print file. This afternoon, I got all the monthly updates for e-mailing ready and sent out, and proofread a couple more Proverbs lessons.
