July 16. Up and at ‘em at, well not as early as it should have been. But hair had to be washed, and that meant a little extra time getting ready for the day. After getting dressed and straightening the bed, I was ready to make morning drinks, and to cook eggs to go with Daddy’s pancakes. Put a load of clothes in to wash while I ate breakfast and continued quiet time. After helping Daddy hang out the clothes, I sat outside for more prayer time and then did five or six laps around the driveway. (I lost count—😊.) Then Daddy and I checked chapters 6 and 7 of Romans; and by the time we finished that, it was lunch time. While eating lunch, and afterward, I got Romans 6 & 7 set up in the print file, as well as the English for chapter 8. Then it was nap time. After nap, I got journal notes ready and sent them to Connie. Didn’t have any pictures to send this week. Reorganized some things in the kitchen so there would be room for water jugs when Christy got home from shopping. This evening, I finished up a lesson in MTC course 1. “But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5 Obedience to the word of God is not a little thing. We are to take diligent (vehement, speedy, exceeding, great, mighty) heed (look narrowly, observe, regard) to do that which has been commanded, to love the LORD our God, to walk in ALL His ways, to keep His commandments, to cleave (adhere, abide fast, be joined, stick, pursue hard) unto Him, and to serve Him with ALL our heart and with ALL our soul. July 17. After I wrote an e-mail this morning (which was after I was done fighting with Microsoft’s updates which take up 100% of my memory and shut down outlook), Daddy and I checked Romans chapter 8. It had a couple sticky places, and we praise the Lord for His guidance and help through those as well as throughout the chapter. Afterward I made corrections and set up Pidgin 8 in the print file, and added English 9 to the file. Then it was lunch time. Spent my afternoon computer time working on MTC course 2, outreach lessons. This evening, the girls went to sit ‘n’ sew, I did the dishes, and Daddy and I were able to have a little time to ourselves. We started making up a supply list for PNG before reading the Bible and praying together. “6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” I Timothy 6:6-8
