October 26. Praise the Lord for rain off and on during the night. Part of the morning was foggy and part sunny. Wan came to clean the trail to the airstrip. I got all my sewing stuff cleaned up and put away, the desk cleaned, and a canvas out to start a painting. Went outside for a little stretch, sunshine, and fresh air. Sat down to write an e-mail to NTM clinic about getting more metoprolol, but couldn’t find an address, so we’ll just give them a call when we get to town. Searched through sent e-mails, too (which go back for ten months), but nothing there. Finished the revision of Revelation 1-3 (Church History) and printed the teacher’s copy this evening. Made just a few changes in the Course 3 Music lessons, but still need to print them. This afternoon, I also drew the basic lines for a painting I would like to do. Am not quite sure how to do this type of painting so I hope it comes out okay. Also put a button on the fancy pink lightweight jacket that I have. It has needed one for a long time. The Lord sent us quite a rain this evening, and quite a lot of flying ants too. Ugh! Daddy was finally able to get in touch with Famiri today and learned that MAF is not flying at all next week so that option is out. Then he was also finally able to get in touch with NTM and make a booking for this coming Tuesday. October 27. A quieter day today. Wrote a couple e-mails in the morning which Daddy sent out. Otherwise I mainly worked on revision of the culture course setup. Late morning, I cooked a pot of rice and some ground beef to add to it. While the rice was cooking, I made the dough for my tortillas and rolled it into balls. This afternoon, I washed my hair and rolled out the tortillas and cooked them. A young lady named Eqavare came from Marivo to ask about the missionary training course. She was only recently saved, but has been attending Marimari Baptist in Marivo. Her husband is unsaved. Daddy is getting more and bigger welts on the back of his neck and runs a fever every afternoon so we are quite concerned about his health. He will try to get a doctor appointment as soon as we go out to town.
