March 30. The morning was colder than what we’ve been having; but the sun was shining, and the fog was thin and rose quickly. A little while after my breakfast and quiet time, Amos and Mata came to talk with us. Afterward, we went outside for a stretch in the sunshine. I didn’t walk up to the airstrip today because I’ve had such a bad headache yesterday and today (finally took artemisinin today) and I didn’t feel strong enough for that walk. Daddy went on up to the airstrip; and shortly after his return, Nuanda came to see us again. He, too, asked about what needs to be done to get the school going for his children and explained to us all the things that are, or will be, keeping him so busy. One thing is that there will be a get-together in a couple weeks with Christy’s husband’s family so they can pay the bride price for Christy. He also has been asked to distribute the Bibles for this area, the ones BIMI has provided for the school students. And then there is to be a world missions conference in Bulolo. What time I had to work at the computer today was spent on the notes for the work of a missionary.. It is very chilly again this evening so I took a bath as soon as I finished supper. I prefer to do the dishes first, but wanted to get a bath before the air got any chillier. March 31. Overcast, windy, and chilly today. Daddy got the wood stove going for the first time since we’ve been home from town. MAF was scheduled to come in today and bring our bottled gas, but once again the flight was cancelled because the other place they were scheduled to go had bad weather. Started writing the March progress report but was in the kitchen for a couple hours before dinner, cutting up a popo, making a popo pie, and making a couple tortillas from the dough scraps from the pie crust. This afternoon, I printed more outreach pictures and colored the two for the next lesson.
