March 15. The fog was dark and thick this morning, the kind that usually stays around a while, so Daddy started a fire in the woodstove. However, the fog lifted quickly, and the Lord brought us sunshine. After quiet time this morning, finishing up the afghan hexagon I started last night (the last of the hexagons — just six half hexagons to make), and looking over the story section we were to read in class today, I made the bed and then Daddy and I went outside for some sunshine. The air was still somewhat chilly, however, so I came back inside after just a few minutes. Spent an hour or so writing an e-mail — that includes several interruptions, but I finally got it finished and Daddy sent it off. Then I went back outside, and it was much warmer out so I could enjoy being out there. This afternoon, I changed my desktop and lock screen backgrounds as I had forgotten to do that on the weekend. By then it was about time for school. Amos family came a little before 3:30, but Mike and Dallas didn't show up so we sat down and talked together with Amos family. Amos wanted to share with us about the community meeting regarding the airstrip. Please pray about the situation with the airstrip, and for Nuanda who has had a lot to deal with as a result of this situation. Thank you. Mike and Dallas eventually showed up for school, but it was after 4:15. We talked with them about whether they needed more time off to finish picking coffee or not, and they need at least two whole days. So, after prayer, we dismissed class and sent them back to their coffee gardens. Then we had supper; I washed dishes; and we had baths. March 16. Praise the Lord for sunshine again this morning. There was extra work for Judy to do today after doing the laundry. I was so thankful she was here to help — sort, wash, and cut up greens; cut up onions to go with them; peel and cut up pumpkin — veggies to cook for dinner. My part of dinner preparation was to cook the spaghetti noodles and make the meat sauce. Judy’s help gave me time to finish crocheting a half hexagon which I started yesterday evening, do some Bible study, and spend a little time out in the sunshine. Started more work on the Ready lessons this afternoon, but ended up spending most of the time looking through journal notes — Daddy through his and I through mine — to see if we could find out exactly when it was Daddy was challenged to return to PNG and what verses the Lord used. Finally found what we were looking for this evening. We want to use our calling as examples for the students to see that their going out to serve the Lord should have a solid basis in the Word.
