May 9. Most of the day was fairly cool, not the heat that we were told to expect, so we were thankful for that. Time today was spent writing shopping list and e-mails, and getting more of the Scripture file properly laid out. Daddy and I also went for a refreshing walk around 9:00 or so. Before we went for a walk, I was very delighted to finally find the tracts that I had been looking for day after day. After we got back, we did more checking of the Gospel of Mark. I was happy to get a couple more boxes unpacked today too. This afternoon, Christy wanted to know what kind of cake to make me for Mother’s Day. She didn’t have a chance to make anything yesterday. I didn’t really want a cake so asked her if she could make a banana pudding, and that is what she did. So we enjoyed banana pudding for our supper dessert. “He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.” John 9:11 He shared his faith with others. May 10. Was thankful for extra strength from the Lord today as I didn’t sleep well last night. Around 9:30, we left for Charlotte, going first to Flying J in SC to get gas (and for Daddy to fill his coffee mug), then on to Trader Joes’s in Charlotte where we did our shopping as quickly as possible so we could get to Connie’s chiropractor appointment. We were about 5 minutes late getting to Dr. Schulman’s, but the adjustment didn’t take long. Next stop was in KM at WalMart Neighborhood Market, but we didn’t find much of what we were looking for. Daddy made a quick stop at Subway in Shelby to get himself some lunch just before we came home. It was about 2:00. Put away groceries in fridge and freezer and left the rest until later. Lay down for about a half hour nap. Then up by 3:10 to get ready to go to Dr. Prime. He did a little adjustment on the back and then worked a while on the neck. No traction today. Afterward, we went and got a few items at Aldi before returning home. Put away the rest of the groceries. Got last week’s journal notes ready and sent them off to Connie. Made a salad and ate some for supper. “35Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” John 9:35-38
