September 2. Very cool day. Down to around 72º when we got up this morning and stayed the same the whole day. Cool, strong winds blew, and it was cloudy and looked like we would get a storm, but we didn’t get more than a few drops. After doing laundry this morning, Daddy and I took off for town to finish our shopping - Big Lots (didn’t get much there today), Mighty Dollar (didn’t get anything there), WalMart (did most of our shopping there -- my, it takes so long to navigate through that store), Aldi (just a few items), and last of all the post office to drop off the box of newsletters. It was after 12:00 when we got home and after 12:30 before we got the car unloaded and food put away. Then we had lunch and nap. This afternoon, we checked Luke chapter 7. After supper, I made some granola. Then I spent some time working on ladies’ lessons for PNG. Praise the Lord for His help in all that was done today. September 3. Cooler this morning (we even used a blanket last night) than yesterday morning, but sun shone and the temperature got up to around 82. After Christy and Connie went to market and returned, then the three of us went out shopping together. Traffic was heavy -- holiday weekend. Christy stopped at Office Max to get some batteries and trade in some empty ink cartridges. Then we went to Salvation Army thrift store as they are having 50% off all their clothing for the holiday weekend and yellow tags were no more than 99cents. Got four plain color blouses as I have plenty of print ones. Last stop was Hobby Lobby where we spent quite a long time looking at and for things. I got some art supplies as I’d like to try to do some painting during some of my relax times. It was a fun day out with my girls. It was after 12:00 when we got home. Had lunch and nap, and then I looked through my painting books to get some ideas of how to get started with what I have in mind. Fixed a salad and goulash for supper. “I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Acts 20:35 If we are able to labor, we should labor so that we can not only support ourselves and our own family, but so we can support those who are too weak to work. A wonderful way to be greatly blessed is to give, rather than receive.
