December 15. Right after breakfast and quiet time this morning, Daddy and I went off to WalMart again. It was time to get the oil changed in the van, and I wanted to get some yarn to make an outfit for the new baby that was born yesterday to Kristen and Caleb C. Also needed to get varnish for Christy’s plaque—had forgotten to put it on our list yesterday. Getting low on almond milk too so got more of that, and Lew returned some Pringles and bought the right kind. Didn’t take long to get the oil changed and we were on our way back home. Then there was laundry to do and e-mails to write. This afternoon, the replacement blanket order was delivered—much nicer—the right size for the bed and has the fleece lining, yet it is lightweight. Should be nice and warm too. I’m very thankful for a lightweight, warm blanket. Also printed about 80 of the newsletters, so Christy can start getting them ready for mailing. Christy had a call this afternoon from Jane C asking Christy if she would like Jane to help her find houses that will meet her qualifications. Christy was glad for her offer and will appreciate whatever help she can give. This evening, I made brownies and washed dishes. Usually Christy washes the dishes on Friday evening, but she had a party at work tonight and was obligated to go. So I took her place doing dishes, and she’ll take my place on Sunday evening. “11And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 12Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people. 13Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.” Exodus 32:11-13 A humble man of God will not seek glory for himself or be glad at the destruction of those who sin but will plead for God’s mercy for the sinner.
December 16. It was around 6:30 when I woke up this morning. I guess I was too cozy under the warm blankets. Showered and washed hair. Had breakfast and quiet time. Finished the crocheted bag to put the loofah and wash cloths in. Made a crocheted chain for the drawstring like the pattern said, but it only stretched and didn’t draw the bag closed. So I found a nice piece of dark blue ribbon to used instead. That worked much better. Took a few pictures before getting the bath set “wrapped up” in a party bag to be given away later on. Prepared and e-mailed out all the newsletters to supporters who normally receive acknowledgments by e-mail. Cooked up the broccoli for Daddy to have for lunch with his spaghetti. Whipped up some soup for myself. This afternoon, I printed out another 80 copies of the newsletter and gave all the copies to Christy to prepare for mailing. Also cooked a large pot of cranberry-apple sauce. Had a nice chat with Martha this evening via skype. Also cooked up a skillet full of zucchini, mushrooms, and onions and had a bowlful for snack. “32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. 33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” Exodus 32:32,33 Moses showed his love for his people in his willingness to be blotted out of God’s book for their sake. The LORD made it clear that only those who have sinned against the LORD (apparently without repentance) will be blotted out of His book.
