October 24. After breakfast, quiet time, and making the bed, I read a chapter in I Chronicles. Then I started doing more revisions of the Revelation (Church History) lessons. Around 9:30, I took a break, and we got ready to go out for a walk. We did get to go up the airstrip today — my first time since hurting my knee. Praise the Lord for His strength. Coming down was a bit harder on the knee than going up; but I found that if I turned my feet out at a slight angle, my knees didn’t hurt as much. After that, it was time for a snack and more work on the Revelation file. Praise the Lord for helping me to get quite a bit done on the Revelation revisions today. This afternoon, I worked on sewing. I thought it wouldn’t probably be hard to make pockets, but I didn’t know how hard it was going to be. If I had had some instructions, it might have been easier; but, as it was, I had to go by trial and error. Finally finished one pocket this evening. I believe I will leave it at that — one pocket will be satisfactory. October 25. Amos came this morning to talk to us about some things. We asked him about watching the house while we are gone to town, and he said that they would do that. Nendisa won’t be able to help as she has been asked by the OIC at the health center to be a baby sitter for mothers who come to the clinic. He also said that he may be gone part of the time as Nuanda has started up some outreach groups, and Nuanda wants him to travel with them. But Mata and Evelin and the boys can look after the house. Anna Jean said that she also was asked to go with Nuanda’s outreach group, singing in the Gethsemane Gospel Light Singers group with the mamas. A couple other men will lead other groups to other areas. Daddy rang MAF this morning, and Christine said they should be able to pick us up on November 3. Famiri is supposed to call back and confirm that. That’s the same day that the LBC outreach groups are supposed to leave, so we’ll have to find carriers somewhere. Daddy and I enjoyed walking around in the fresh air and sunshine before I started working on the revision of the Revelation questions. Praise the Lord, I finished that part this evening after working on that most of the rest of the day. Praise the Lord for giving us some rain this afternoon and evening too. Before my bath this evening, I also finished making the hair holder that I was working on to go with the PNG outfit. After supper, Daddy had a scary incident when he swallowed a good bit of water down the wrong pipe. I didn’t realize he was choking, but thought he was having one of his kind of coughing spells which he has now and then. But when he kept going, I realized something else was wrong. It was scary for both of us. Thank you, Lord, for taking care of him and bringing him through.
