March 20. It was about 1:00 before I finally got to sleep last night, and the rest of the night was restless sleep. Praise the Lord for His strength today. This morning, we left a little after 9:00 for Chatlotte. It was chiropractor day for Connie. Her appointment wasn’t until 11:00, but we went to Trader Joe’s first. Even though we were a few minutes late to Dr. Schulman’s office, we still had to wait a while because he was quite busy. When we left there, we went to Neighborhood WalMart and got some bottled water -- some for C&C and some to take on our trip Thursday. It was about 12:30 when we arrived back home. Got groceries in and put away. Then Daddy went out to Subway to get his lunch, and I finished up my soup. This afternoon, I printed out two copies of the script for the presentation (one for Daddy and one for me), proofread and made a few corrections, and added notes on mine for coordinating with the slide show. “7I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4:7,8 Lord, that I might fight a good fight, that I might finish my course, and that I might keep the faith. Then I may say that I love Thy appearing and I can have confidence, like apostle Paul, that a crown of righteousness is laid up for me. I thank Thee that Thou art the righteous judge. March 21. It was already 50º when we got up this morning. And it got up to 85º here today. Plus the humidity was high so it was very warm. It still feels quite warm this evening. Started the wash early this morning since the weather was warmer. Sewed button on left baby bootie I had finished last night. Now I need to make the right bootie and hope it comes out the same size as the left one. Worked on Sunday school lessons. Then Daddy and I went out to Crossroads Thrift Store, taking some items for donation and talking with Kyle about when he could come over for a meal. When we got back, I started making Sweet Potato/Carrot/Apple/Onion/Red Lentil soup (except I don’t have red lentils so used green). Also made pizza for Daddy and used up the leftover spaghetti sauce. I had some leftover butternut squash soup which I finished up for lunch since my fresh soup was taking a long time to prepare. When the Sweet Potato soup was done cooking, we had our nap. This afternoon, we went down to the thrift store on West Dixon only to find that it was closed on Monday and Tuesday. Came back and pureed the soup I had made at noon. Drank a couple cupsful for supper - delicious! Wrote an e-mail to Beth. Got last week’s journal notes ready and sent them to Connie. Took another little nap again this evening before doing dishes. “ In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began…. Titus 1:2 God CANNOT lie. Before the world began, He promised eternal life. He keeps every promise. Thank you, Lord, for the surety of eternal life.
