March 16. Up before 6:00 this morning. At 6:30, we had breakfast, and Martha came over to eat with us. We took a few pictures, said our good-byes, and then headed out for NC a little before 7:30. It was a beautiful day. The white and pink flowering trees were so pretty. I wanted to get some pictures, but we were moving too fast. I was hoping there would be some whenever we made a rest stop or fuel or food stop, but there weren’t. As we got closer to home, there were a lot of trees already getting green leaves, and others with just buds. Lots of pollen in the air. Stopped at Cracker Barrel in Mebane (near Burlington) for lunch. Enjoyed a good lunch, and our server Melanie was a very pleasant young lady. It was almost 4:00 before we arrived back in Shelby. I was good and ready for a shower before going off to church in the evening. That proved to be a very electrifying experience, however. Connie told us when we got back that she couldn’t touch the metal shower fixtures in our shower without getting zapped. “No way,” I said. “We never had any such problem.” Something happened, however, between the time I took my shower on Saturday morning before we left and the time Connie took hers in the afternoon after moving in here. Somehow electric current is coming through the water faucets and other parts of the shower, and once I was standing in the water in the shower and touched any of those parts, I received quite a shock. Yes, it did hurt. So that needs to be investigated. (Thank the Lord, we were able to get that fixed.) Was very tired this evening so Daddy and I came right home after the meeting. Connie had to wait for Christy and then they took Cindie home before coming back home. “27And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me. 28And he left all, rose up, and followed him.” Luke 5:27,28
