July 11. It was refreshing to sit outside this morning and spend quiet time with the Lord in a quiet place. Also did a little walking, but my legs still hurt from being on my feet so much yesterday. Finally remembered to send the progress report to Pastor Ogle. Then Daddy and I checked chapters 4 and 5 of Romans, and I got corrections made for those and got them set up in the print file. We praise the Lord that we were able to do extra today. This afternoon, I got last week’s journal notes ready for Connie and transferred pictures to the computer and edited them so I could send a few of those to Connie too. Did dishes early in the evening. Then we had our family time in which we sang a couple songs and Daddy led us in studying some of the “I am’s” of Jesus. “20Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, 21Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20,21 How wonderful to have a God of peace! And how wonderful to have a great shepherd, our Lord Jesus! Through the blood of the everlasting covenant, God will make us perfect in every good work to do His will. And He will work in us that which is wellpleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. That which we cannot do in ourselves, God has promised to accomplish in us. July 12. Not long after breakfast and quiet time this morning, we headed out to shop. Glad to get out while the day was still somewhat cool, and there was even a breeze blowing. First stop was WalMart, which took us a little longer than it should have since they’ve rearranged everything, and we had some hunting to do. Next stop was Aldi which didn’t take too long. Then the bank to cash a couple checks. And last of all Verizon to pay the bill. All together we were out just a little over two hours. Back home by 10:30. Put away food. Had to leave a few things in the cooler. What time was left of the morning was given to writing the June update letter. Then Daddy proofread it, and this afternoon, I proofread it and got all the acknowledgments done for the ones to be mailed via USPS. Then Martha called via Skype, and we had turns conversing with her until supper time. After supper, there were a good many dishes to do. Then I played a little bit at the computer before we had our family devotions.
