November 16. Thankful for a pretty good night’s rest. Up by 6:00 this morning. Needed to wash hair and make a shopping list so we could go out shopping this morning. Shopped as usual at Aldi and WalMart, but then went to Mighty Dollar to get a few little items and to Lidl. Got home from shopping some time after 11:30. Put food away and then had lunch. Daddy went out to Subway to eat because there was no time to prepare a meal. I felt really tired out today after being on the go all week, but I think Daddy was more wiped out than I was. He went back to bed for a nap after breakfast and had another good nap this afternoon. This afternoon, I got gifts together. Also monogrammed the two turkey hats that Connie had made for her friend’s little girls. This evening, I made a headband to match the baby outfit for Laura’s baby. Started on the sweater for another baby. “The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him.” Exodus 15:2 Thank you, Lord, for being my strength. I need your strength every day. Thank you for being my song. May my only song be of thee. Thank you for being my salvation. Without your salvation life would be hopeless. Thank you for being my God. There is no God beside thee, and may I never put any other god before thee. Thank you for being my father’s God. Help me to always exalt you. November 17. Seventy-three today. (Mom's birthday!) It seems like it has been a long week even though it was so busy. I keep thinking today is Saturday, but Christy is at work so it must be Friday. 😊 Today was laundry day. Even though it is only in the mid-forties, it felt so good to get out in the fresh air and sunshine, since we were bundled up nice and warm. While waiting for clothes to wash, I got Tuesday’s clothes folded and a birthday card ready to go out to Lonnie. After hanging out clothes, I finished sending out the rest of the e-mail October updates. This afternoon, I made a birthday card for a special friend, started on a crocheted bookmark, and worked on the baby sweater. The sweater seemed to be much too small so took it all out and started again with a one-size-larger hook. It still seems too small, however. Am I going to have to take it all out and start a third time? Connie made a lemon meringue pie for my bitrhday dessert. Received nice cards and money gifts from Daddy and the girls, birthday greetings from Ellen via e-mail, many other special greetings via Facebook through Christy and Connie, and a phone call from Cilla. “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Exodus 15:11 Who is like unto the LORD? There is no other who is like him? God alone is glorious (of exalted excellence and splendour in His holiness; of perfect purity). He alone is fearful (to be held in awe; to be reverenced) in praises. He alone doeth wonders (miracles, marvellous things). November 18. Worked a lot today on the baby sweater. Yes, I did have to start over again. This was the third try. Had to take it out twice because it was too small. Otherwise I think it would have been nearly complete by now. Also swept our bathroom and bedroom floors, made cran-apple sauce, and wrote a couple e-mails. This evening, we played a game of Bible Baffle together. “And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.” Psalm 35:28
