October 22. A cooler day today, but sunny and no rain. Brad called Daddy this morning wanting to know if Daddy would use his vehicle now and then while he is on home assignment because it is not good for the vehicle to just sit around and not get used. The Venters are planning to leave around the middle of November. Then Jonny called this afternoon to see when we could come for lunch. Brad hadn’t told anyone that we are sick so Jonny didn’t know. This morning, I had a job to do to keep me busy before dinner time. Cooked a pot of rice with lentils and made a Spanish rice sauce to go on it. (Too bad, there is no chili powder around. It tasted okay without the chili powder, but would have tasted better with it.) This afternoon, I washed my hair, cleaned the toilet, and fixed tuna for supper. Otherwise there wasn’t a whole lot to do today. Sunny gave a missed called this evening to say hello and see how we were doing. Wenera gave Daddy a missed call too. He didn’t know we were sick. Did the dishes and listened to piano music by Natalie Raynes. October 23. A very chilly morning. Just a peek of sunshine every now and then. Nevertheless, we did laundry — towels and bedding. The sunshine and warmth didn’t come until afternoon. By nap time, all the bedding was dry, however, so we were able to make the beds back up and have our nap. It was late afternoon before the towels were dry. Was hoping to get Dady’s hair cut this afternoon, but that didn’t work today. Was all out of tortillas so had to make some of those. That’s a tiring task. This evening, we listened to a message by Samuel Mills, preached at Ambassador, entitled “Keep Walking Until God Says stop.” October 24. A chilly morning, but sunshiny. It was after 8:00 before I went outside because there were pancakes to make this morning. After I finished making and eating, then I went outside and read and meditated on chapter 19 of John. Off and on throughout the morning, I sat outside and prayed. Around 9:00, we started our Skype time with C&C. Didn’t seem to have much energy to talk today and was tired by the time we were done. Both Daddy and I went for a little nap. Also had another little nap after dinner. Cut Daddy’s hair this afternoon. After cutting his hair, I enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate. This evening, we listened to Wednesday evening’s meeting from VBC, Pastor Reeise speaking on Faith Promise Giving.
