April 22. Was awake a little before 6:00 again this morning and ready by 8:00 to head for C&C’s house. Waited for Daddy to get ready, and we left here around 8:20 I think. It was a blessing to be able to sit down and hear the testimonies, singing, and preaching from the early morning meeting as well as the late morning meeting. Jeremy Uhl did the preaching in the first morning, and it was a good message on trusting the Lord. It went along well with the testimonies that came before it. In the second meeting, Pastor Ogle preached on “My Attitude to the Brethren” from I Peter 3:8,9. “We must recognize that the gospel shouldn’t just impact the lost…, but should impact our church as well. In between meetings, I unpacked the other box of PNG items and set up the display shelf in the living/craft room. Also got some crocheting done while I was there, trying to finish a throw for Denise. After the others got home from church and we had finished lunch, Daddy and I headed back to the prophets’ chamber for our afternoon nap. We both must have been pretty tired (I know I was) as we slept about an hour and a half. This afternoon and evening, I did a lot of organizing and weeding out some of the card making and craft stuff. Also did the dishes and later some crocheting. “But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.” Joshua 7:1 We should never think that our sin only affects ourselves. The sin of Achan kindled God’s anger against all the children of Israel. Ecclesiastes 9:18 says, “Wisdom is better than weapons of war: but one sinner destroyeth much good.” How we need to be on guard and keep close to God so that we can so “no” to temptation!
