August 30. It was a long night with several hours of wakefulness. I got up for nearly an hour from 3:00 to 4:00, but still couldn’t seem to get back to sleep, except maybe for bits of unsound sleep. Was up a little bit early to get a shower as I had a doctor appointment this morning, the last one until October. Lord willing, we’ll go back to Owena on Thursday. When we came back into town, we stopped at Food Link just for one item and then at Brian Bell where we purchased a recliner which was on sale starting today. And the sale price was about 40% off the old price, which enabled us to be able to buy the bigger recliner which seemed much more comfortable than the smaller one. Praise the Lord! Brian Bell will deliver it to MAF. After that, we made a quick stop at Yida for dish detergent and a roll of TP to leave here at the flat. By then it was already 11:00. After a cup of coffee, Daddy went off to EBC to pick up some honey. Then we had dinner and nap. This afternoon, I made tortillas. Also started gathering some things together to be packed. After supper, we packed up a couple boxes. Daddy also washed the windows on the truck. They were quite dirty. Then I wrote a couple e-mails and did the dishes. And afterward, we listened to a message by Pastor Reeise of VBC. August 31. Thank you, Lord, for better sleep last night. I had a hard time keeping my eyes open when I wanted to get up this morning. Finally managed to get out of bed and start the day. About mid-morning, Clemen and Abaisa came and helped Daddy load up the truck with cargo that was ready to go to the hangar. When they returned from the hangar, we all went up to Seng Da and finished up the shopping that needed to be done. The boys helped us carry cargo out to the truck. Then Daddy gave them a little “amamas money” (a tip), and they went on their way back home. Daddy and I went to market to get carrots, tomatoes, and cucumbers to take back to Owena and a handful of bananas to eat the next couple days. It was noon, so after we got things put away, we had our lunch and then nap. I was awakened from nap by the refreshing sound and smell of rain. This afternoon, I worked more on Scripture set-up, and with the Lord’s help, completed this evening through Ephesians chapter 3. I also got the August progress report written, and we listened to Sunday morning’s message from VBC. “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33) “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (I John 5:4)
