April 13. A cooler day, but more sunshine. Swept out our bathroom and bedroom this morning. Don’t know how so much dust gets in the house with the windows closed, but scads of black dust collects in here. Sweeping will be an endless job. Started setting up a power point presentation of PNG for showing to non-church people. Was thankful to get another box unpacked today too, as well as starting to add footnotes to Matthew (Pidgin translation) with meanings of some of the unfamiliar words. Around 4:00, Daddy and I went for a short walk around the block. Bro. Gleiser preached tonight from Acts chapter 11 about a special church member, Barnabas, who was an encourager to many people, including apostle Paul. “14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” John 3:14-18 April 14. The Lord gave us a lovely, sunshiny day today. After breakfast and quiet time, I did a small bit of organizing in the living room. Then about 9:15, Daddy and I headed off to Dr. Prime’s office. He was able to do a bit more adjusting today as well as more massage and traction. I was thankful for the relief. It’s too bad that I’ll miss next week since we’ll be out traveling. I hope the long hours in the car don’t set me back too much. From Dr. Prime’s office, we went over to Crossroads Thrift Store so Daddy could look for a suit. Most of the suit jackets would have been okay if the sleeves had been long enough. He did find one suit that fit nice; but as we looked it over, we found the there was a tear in the seam of the trousers that couldn’t be fixed because the material was frayed. Got back home around 10:30. Most of the rest of the day, I spent finishing up the footnotes (word definitions) in the translation of Matthew. I did take a break before noon to make the rest of the soup into a casserole for our dinner. And this afternoon around 4:30, Daddy and I went for a nice walk around two blocks. “30He must increase, but I must decrease. 31He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:30-36
