July 29. Last night was another late night. We had expected to get home earlier than the night before, but got home about the same time. About 6:00 yesterday afternoon, we headed for Wyldewood Baptist Church in Oshkosh for their Meeting in the Air. Arrived around 6:30, and Jim Blume was the first person we ran into. It was good to see him. He was there with his son-in-law Stan. Blumes have only been back from the field about six months. Bro. Jim had some health issues which he needed to get taken care of. He is hoping that he will have a clean bill of health and be able to go back soon and get back into flying. He said Mary will probably not get to go with him as her health is not that good right now. We got our display set up and talked to a few people. Met Pastor Brenenstuhl. Meeting started at 7:00. Daddy and two others each gave a short testimony. Pastor Witte from Michigan preached on being “moved with compassion.” After the meeting, we saw the Warinners and the Hoffmans. I talked with Monica for a while near our display while Jim want off to take care of something else. After a while, a caravan of missionary and pastor cars all headed for the pastor’s house in Omro where we had more food and fellowship. The men all sat around the kitchen and talked, and the women were in the living room. There were only a handful of women there. So that’s why we were late getting “home” again last night. For today, the weather prediction was for sunshine, but it is very rainy. I got up a little before 7:00 and cut up peaches for our breakfast. After breakfast and fellowship around the breakfast table, I went downstairs for quiet time. Then Daddy and I headed for WalMart. He got the tire checked out because it seems to have a slow leak; and while they were repairing that, we purchased a few items in the store. This afternoon, after nap, The Palmers took us thrift store shopping. I was thankful to find four blouses that I can use. When we got back to the house, it was time to fix supper. While I helped with dishes afterward, Daddy got ready to go to Oshkosh. I did not go tonight as I am getting too tired out. “42And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” Acts 10:42,43 All the prophets gave witness to Jesus, that whosoever believeth shall receive remission of sins. The apostles were commanded to preach and to testify that Jesus was the one of whom the prophets spoke. We also are to preach and testify that Jesus is the One whom God ordained to be the Judge of the quick and the dead and to provide remission of sins through the shedding of his blood.
