November 19. A chilly, damp morning. Daddy started a fire in the wood stove first thing this morning; and before long, the Lord sent some sunshine. Sunny came a little before 7:00 to wash the clothes and sweep the floors. I didn’t have much other work for her today, except to wash up a bad dirty spot on the mission schoolroom floor. Afterward, she worked outside, starting to build a flower bed so she can plant flowers along the eastern area inside the fence. We went outside a couple times for some sunshine and fresh air, but it was very hot and humid out. We knew that there would be more rain coming today. This morning, I started writing an e-mail to our dear daughters; but I had just barely got started when the computer decided to restart so it could update windows. It took several hours for it to update so I worked on computer lessons, trying to get ahead a little bit for Judy’s classes. I never did get back to the e-mail today. After nap, I was too tired since the nap was interrupted several times by knocks on the door. I didn’t really get a restful nap or sleep. Rains came early this afternoon, but not as heavy as yesterday. It is still raining this evening, and the house has been damp and chilly so Daddy got a fire going again. “28) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29) Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30) November 20. It was good to get out for a short walk this morning even though it was hot and humid again today. I was thankful to get the e-mail to C&C written this morning without interruption from updates. After a while, Daddy was able to get the e-mail sent out so we are thankful for that. This afternoon, I discovered I had two different files for the Kristen Famili (Christian Family) course — one a word file, and the other a publisher. I want everything to be the same, so got rid of the Word file, but I need to work on putting blanks in the student file so started that this evening. Judy came to ask if the young men and women can come three nights a week and practice music. Several churches are asking for them to come and sing specials for their special meetings. “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” (Proverbs 3:5) November 21. The Lord gave us a lovely morning, but I did not go out for a walk today as I was on my feet quite a while, first of all preparing pancakes for breakfast, then making the bed and folding clothes, and lastly (after quiet time) preparing veggies for soup for dinner. I was thankful for time to sit down, relax, and do a little Bible study in Numbers after that. Computer time throughout the day was spent in adding the blanks to the student copy of Kristen Famili. In the evening, Daddy and I had our worship time, singing, sharing thoughts from our Bible study, and praying.
