September 14. There was only lukewarm water again this morning so I just washed up a bit at the bathroom sink. Before I had my morning drinks, I washed out the big saucepan and the two small containers. Dried the saucepan and put the fish in it to cook. Then I had my vitamin drinks and started quiet time. When the fish was done, I warmed up a dishful of rice and kale and then added fish to my dish for my breakfast. We finally headed off to C&C’s house a little before 9:00. Ruth and Ellen were already there, but Ellen was leaving to go for therapy (for her knee). I started the laundry and visited with Ruthie a bit. We had two loads of laundry today since we had bought a bunch of clothing on Tuesday when we went thrift store shopping. So the second load was in washing when Ellen came back from her therapy. Ellen and Ruthie stayed until a little before noon. After nap, Daddy and I got all the clothes down. I folded up some of the newly bought items and will pack them away. The rest of them either went into the laundry basket or were laid in the car in the usual way. The box of Pidgin tracts came today, praise the Lord! After having an afternoon snack, I divided all the tracts into quart size plastic storage bags to protect them from getting messed up in transport. We will take part of them with us to PNG and ship the rest. Later this afternoon and this evening, I wrote a couple more of the outreach lessons for MTP. This evening, we all went outside and readied things for the storm, putting what we could, or what needed to be, inside the shed or utility room. After having family time with C&C, we came home. Then I worked on crocheting the rest of the evening. September15. It was about 6:50 before I got up this morning. I had awakened a bit a little after 6:00, but felt like I was still tired and soon fell back to sleep. After showering and washing hair and getting dressed, I fixed Daddy’s pancake eggs before having my morning vitamin drinks and starting quiet time. Daddy had gone out to buy more water by the time I heated and ate my breakfast. Then there was work to do. Wash dishes first. Then clean the bathroom—toilet, sink, and the section of the floor that apparently didn’t get scrubbed enough the last time. The floor scrubbing was a hands and knees job, but I’m happy to see how much cleaner that part of the floor looks now. When those jobs were done, I made and enjoyed a nice smoothie. The rest of the morning was spent painting, as well as part of the afternoon. I also folded clothes that were washed yesterday and packed a bagful of clothes from those we had purchased at the thrift stores this week, setting those aside to be packed. This evening, I crocheted and played some computer games, and Daddy and I enjoyed some sharing and praying time together.
