May 27. Judy came early and did laundry this morning. Praise the Lord for a lovely morning for drying the clothes and for opportunity to get outside later in the morning to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. Most of my computer time today was spent trying to finish up the next Revelation lesson. Praise the Lord, I did finish the section on the great awakenings and revivals. Next I’ll be going into the section on the missions era of the 1800’s. Mike said today that Taqita now wants to have lessons of her own so looks like more printing will need to be done. We have been praying diligently for the ink, paper, and printers to hold out until Daddy can get to town, and until we can get a new printer. “17Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: 18Thou shewest lovingkindness unto thousands, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: the Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is his name, 19Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men: to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 20Which hast set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even unto this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and hast made thee a name, as at this day.” (Jeremiah 32:17-20) May 28. Had a little break from school today as the students went with a group who carried coffee to Konkonbira to sell. I spent a good many hours during the daytime working on the GMS files, particularly trying to get the outreach files and pictures in order. Most of the evening was given to printing papers for Taqita to have her own class material. Was kept awake quite a bit last night by loud chewing sounds. Mr. Rat was busy somewhere. When my flashlight shone on the soap at the bathroom sink, I knew he had been here. The soap had been moved several inches away from the edge of the sink, and there were teeth marks in one corner. I put the soap into the bathtub because he can’t get into the tub; or if he should, he probably wouldn’t be able to get out. Later I heard more chewing coming from the storage closet. There I found a mess where he had been chewing on the plastic lid on a jar of peanuts. Put a dish of vinegar up there. We didn’t hear him again except for when he knocked the plastic glass from the edge of the bathtub into the bathtub. Today, I moved all the peanut jars with plastic lids into the tall cupboard. “26Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying, 27Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:26,27
