October 25. Lots of fog this morning; but praise the Lord, it lifted quickly, and there was sunshine for much of the morning. Daddy arrived home around 10:15. After a welcome hug and kiss, I went back to class. The first thing Daddy did was check the generator to see what the problem was. There was a loose wire, which is one thing I thought of. He didn’t have any trouble starting the generator after tightening up that wire. He ran the generator for a while to get the freezer cold again. By noon, the skies had clouded up again, and it is raining this afternoon. So far it is not raining hard like yesterday. The water was quite dirty again this afternoon. After the water pressure came back, and the water came with more force instead of a trickle, more dirt came through the lines. It got clean enough later in the afternoon for Daddy to finish filling the washing machine (Sunny had dumped in what was in the buckets) and for me to wash the greens that I had bought yesterday so I can cook them up this evening. Also had a few items to put away that Daddy had purchased at the SIL store. While I was busy doing those things the computer was on charge with the inverter. I should have had it plugged into the power when Daddy had the generator running this morning. As soon as the computer was charged, I prepared the next science quiz, transferred it to the flash drive, and made sure the next Bible lesson was on the flash drive as well so I can get those printed out. Wrote some in journal. Tried to send/receive e-mails — unsuccessful. When time ran out, I went to the kitchen and cut up the onion and greens I had washed, seasoned them, and set them on to cook. Peeled eggs that I had boiled yesterday and made egg salad for our supper sandwiches. Then we ate supper. After supper, I washed dishes, had bath, and did some work in the new computer. Praise the Lord that the Microsoft pro was able to be installed, and the publisher is useable. October 26. We went to prayer meeting early in the morning. Afterward Sunny did the laundry, swept the floors, and cleaned Daddy’s shoes that got muddy on Friday when he returned from SIL. I know I kept busy while she was working, but don’t recall what I kept busy with. Before dinner, Daddy and I went out and walked around the yard for a while to get a little exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. I believe I put math exercises on the chalkboard in the afternoon and worked on some other files in the new computer both in the afternoon and evening.
