April 1. Another cloudy day, but not much rain. First order of business this morning was laundry. I did so want to hang it outside, but everyone expected it to rain. Hung up shirts, blouses, dresses, and trousers inside, and put everything else in the dryer. Checked chapter 25 of Matthew this morning. Only three more chapters to go in Matthew. Praise the Lord for His help thus far. Did a little more cleaning and organizing until dinner time. After nap this afternoon, we two and Christy went over to the trailer again and packed a few more boxes. Didn’t get as much done today. Connie stayed here since she was preparing food for herself to take to the ladies’ banquet tomorrow. April 2. A lovely sunny day with a chilly breeze blowing late this afternoon. Finished proofreading “Lav, Mesi, Marimari” this morning and got the corrections made in the computer. Then Daddy and I went out shopping for just a few groceries at WalMart and Aldi. Then we went to Marion Street Dollar Tree and found some picture frames and a couple other little things. A quick stop at the Food Outlet for some stew beef before coming home with the groceries and putting them away. Then off to Subway for lunch. Not long after we went out, C&C left to pick of Cindie and Kathy M for the ladies’ banquet. When we got up from afternoon nap, they still weren’t home. They didn’t get home until around 4:00. I swept the front porch and put the welcome mat out that we got today. Also swept the back porch and put a smaller mat there for wiping feet, as well as one at the laundry room door. Then Daddy put up more curtain rods for me to put valances up in the living room and the other curtain up in the bedroom. Now I need to make a tie back for that bedroom curtain. I sprayed my two water paintings with clear acrylic matte coating and set them aside to dry. Later I’ll frame them and hang them in the living room. Then I put all the "grandchildren’s" (school students') pictures in the 4x6 frames and marked places above the piano for hanging them. Daddy drilled holes and put in screws, and now all their pictures are hanging above the piano in the living room. “2And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 3And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 4For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.” Luke 21:2-4 April 3. Cooler this morning with chilly winds, but a nice day. Even before eating breakfast this morning, I was busy preparing veggies and meat for beef stew in the crock pot. We really enjoyed that beef stew this afternoon before and after church. I was thankful for a day to meet together with God’s people. Mrs. Surrett finished the set of lessons on shaping up your home. The classroom was full today as Regina had a number of her family members there. Mrs. Surrett also shared the frustrations she and Pastor Surrett faced with his recent health situation and how the Lord answered prayer and helped them through the stormy sea. Pastor Ogle’s message on the seriousness of sin was much needed and gave us much to think about and apply to our lives. This evening was different as he visited a number of Scriptures dealing with hindrances to answered prayer and had us consider each one and pray for God to reveal needs in our hearts regarding each. At the end of the meeting, Kim S shared her testimony of how God answered the prayers of many people, brought her through a very dark valley, and brought her salvation. How we rejoice in what God has done for that dear sister! After the meeting, Pastor Ogle met with those who want to be greeters during the revival or go out for the Gospel Blitz this coming Saturday. Brother Bishop had asked Daddy to go with him and Carlos and one other person, I forget whom. After nap, I worked on some blog ideas for Connie to work with. Used the time going back and forth to church today to do some crocheting, working on the tie back for our other bedroom curtain. “Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations.” Luke 22:28
