June 27, 2022. A fairly quiet day. Apekio came while I was getting my breakfast ready. She wanted to see what we needed for food and also get some yarn so she can finish the bilum for Lynn’s baby. After she left, I finished breakfast, made the bed, finished quiet time, and finished coloring the outreach picture that I started last night before bed. Then I had a little snack before Daddy and I went out for some sunshine and fresh air. I took the old scissors out and trimmed some dying leaves off the bird of paradise flowers. When we came back inside, I enjoyed a brief Bible study in I Samuel 24 and wrote a bit in my journal. This afternoon, I studied for class. Taught class earlier today as Daddy’s first class was shorter than usual. Also worked on Revelation 20 study. Judy came by this evening — the first time we’ve seen her since she arrived back in the village and since she was gone for the past five weeks or so. She did not say anything about coming back to work, so I didn’t say anything either. She did ask to come tomorrow and practice computer. June 28. The day was chilly, windy, and cloudy. Anna Jean came and washed clothes, and Judy came a little later to practice computer. Anna Jean practiced keyboard after hanging out the clothes and refilling the water buckets. I worked on the study of Revelation 20 and finished that after dinner. It needs a lot of polishing, however, as numerous interruptions caused me often to lose my train of thought. Late morning, SIL flew in (for a look at the airstrip, we suppose) and flew right back out again. We were surprised they even tried to land, the winds were so strong and gusty. Then a little bit later, Mera and his group came along, accompanied by a group of Owenians singsinging and other Owenians just following. All day, we’ve heard speeches and toksaves (announcements) of some kind being broadcast over the loud speaker. They are down at Wanyapeq so we can’t really hear what is being said from up here. This afternoon and evening, I polished up Revelation 20 a bit, studied for culture class, colored several outreach pictures, and started an e-mail to C&C.
