November 5. Last night, we turned the clocks back, but I was so tired, I went to bed at 10:00 the old time. Shortly after I went to bed, I felt a burning, stinging sensation on my right leg. I thought it was just one of those “fire pains” I often get and that it would soon pass, but it just kept stinging. I finally rubbed it with my left foot, and the stinging calmed down. After that I went to sleep for about two hours, but later wondered if something had bitten me. I woke up very hot and kept getting hotter and hotter. I was hyperventilating so much that I kept taking deep breaths every so often to try to get enough air. Finally got up and folded up the big comforter and put it under my pillow so I could prop myself up more and see if I could breathe better. That seemed to help, and eventually I was able to relax and started cooling down to where I could get a few hours’ sleep. We certainly enjoyed our weekend with Chuck and Patty, but now it was time to pack up and head home. We got the car mostly loaded up before breakfast. Patty fixed us a good breakfast (again), and about 9:40, we all went outside. I took Chuck and Patty’s picture before we got in the van to head over to the church. We planned to go to Sunday school and church with them before hitting the road for home. The Sumners went to their car but were back in a moment at Daddy’s window saying that it wouldn’t start. 😊 They told us to go on ahead, and they would get Patty’s Mazda out and come in it. Sunday school was just starting when Daddy and I arrived. Before too long, I started feeling sick to my stomach and getting a bad headache. I finally had to get up and go out to the car. When Sunday school ended and Daddy came out, we decided we would just go ahead and hit the road. He went back in to let Sumners know, and Patty came out. We explained the situation to her, and she seemed to understand. We said our good-byes and went on our way. Praise the Lord for a safe trip home! When we made our first pit stop (at a Pilot station), we also got some lunch which we ate in the car before getting out on the road again. It was a delight to see sunshine for a couple hours along the way. Arrived back home in Shelby a little before 4:00. Didn’t get to have a nap in the car because the sun shone directly in my eyes whenever I reclined the seat to try to relax and get a little rest. By the time the sun was gone, we were getting close to home, and it was too late to go to sleep. The next couple hours were busy with unpacking, talking with C&C, having supper, remaking the bed, etc. Am tired tonight and hopefully can get to bed early again. “28And Moses told Aaron all the words of the LORD who had sent him, and all the signs which he had commanded him. 29And Moses and Aaron went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel: 30And Aaron spake all the words which the LORD had spoken unto Moses, and did the signs in the sight of the people.” Exodus 4:28-30 When God sends us to someone with a message, we must give them ALL the words of the LORD and not add to or take away from what God has said.
