March 7. The Lord gave us a lovely, spring day today. Tried to do a little organizing around the house this morning. Then about mid-morning, we went over to the apartment and gathered up the rest of our belongings. Also did up the few dishes that were sitting there and got up e-mails, and Daddy checked a couple things on internet. Then we went hunting around for washer and dryer. Found best price at Sears, but it needs to be ordered and would not be here until next week Friday. Daddy also checked with Mel to see if he might know where we could get a good washer and dryer. He is going to check around. It was well after 12:00 noon by then so we went and had lunch at Subway in WalMart. Next stop was Lowes to look for a few things, but all we found were some metal brackets for attaching the mirror to the dresser. After that, it was Office Depot/Max where we got a printer, cables, shiny paper, and flash drive. Looked for some coffee mugs in a couple stores and finally found some at Dollar General. By the time we got home, it was after 3:00. Did not take a nap today. Cleaned off part of my desk and reorganized so we could set up the printer. That took a good while. Christy had been out shopping and came by with a list of heavy items they are going to have brought over here. Mel will try to find some helpers to move their heavy things on Saturday. While the printer was charging itself up, I put away some more papers and started moving things out of the north end of this room so it will be ready for the furniture that will come in there on Saturday. It was going on 6:00 before we had supper - salad and leftover spaghetti. Then I helped Daddy put his office chair together, did the dishes, washed out the shelves over the stove, and unpacked and rearranged some things to go on those shelves. Little by little things are coming together. “9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.” Revelation 7:9-17 March 8. What a lovely, warm day today! Thank you, Lord. It was so nice to have windows and doors open and let in the fresh air. It was a stay-at-home day for me. I thank the Lord for His help and strength in getting a good bit done – unpacking a number of things and putting things away; fixing pictures to have printed for our display and bordering part of the display board with red duct tape because the red glitter tape didn’t hold; taking apart the bed frame in our room to make room for the steel bed frame that will come with our bed; sweeping floors (Daddy swept the living room, and I the kitchen); putting up a net “doorway” that Connie sent over since there is no screen door out back off the kitchen. The netting just had sticky pieces that were supposed to hold it in place, but it didn’t hold. Daddy had to nail it up. Daddy went out a couple times, looking for some things we needed - strong clothesline, nails, etc. Also had pictures printed for the display. I did take a nap today, or part of one anyway. Was in a sound sleep, when I suddenly heard the front door opening. Thinking it was Daddy, I said, “Are you back already?” Then I looked, and it wasn’t Daddy at all. “Oh,” I said, “it’s Christy.” Christy thought we weren’t here. She was on her way home from work and came to drop off some boxes. So that was the end of my nap. “21And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: 22For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 23But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.” Mark 13:21-23
