February 5. Sunday. Thankful for a better sleep last night. And for a nice warm and sunny day today. It was a nice day for relaxing and listening to the Word. Got the shopping list made for our trip to Charlotte tomorrow, if Connie feels up to going. She has one thing and another that keeps coming up and setting her back physically. Christy went to church by herself today. Daddy, Connie, and I listened livestream. The message this morning was from I Timothy 6, dealing with Stewardship of Our Treasures or Goods -- Respond Abundantly. This evening’s message was a continuation of the same topic, using the story of Nabal in I Samuel chapter 25. Pastor Ogle started the teaching on stewardship the middle of January, the first Sunday Daddy was home, and this is the second point in his messages. The first was Stewardship of Trust. After nap today, I revised chapter 15 of John and did a little crocheting. Didn’t really feel up to doing much. “14Do all things without murmurings and disputings: 15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; 16Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” Philippians 2:14-16 I am commanded to do ALL things without grumbling and without discussion. Just obey! This is not only to please God, but that I may have an irreproachable and harmless testimony in the eyes of this crooked and corrupt generation. I am to shine as a light so that I might give them the word of life, and so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, knowing that neither the race nor the labour has been in vain.
