December 20. Started feeling sick while I was washing dishes last night. Hurried to the vitamin drawer and got out some activated charcoal. Took charcoal several times before going to bed before 10:00. Put some charcoal powder in the glass of water that I took to the bedroom for the night and sipped on that whenever I got up during the night. Only took the charcoal at meal times today, and had papaya enzymes with each meal too. Ate mostly soup (with a little rice for breakfast) and yogurt with fruit and pecans today. Had some chips and yogurt dip for supper. Felt wiped out and took two naps. Didn’t do much of anything today except research on vitamins, making our monthly vitamin order, and making tomorrow’s shopping list. Hope I feel up to going shopping tomorrow. (Have been researching vitamins in order to change my vitamin regimen and get a program together that is going to be more suited to my needs.) Was thankful to be feeling somewhat better this evening. “21And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD'S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments. 22And they came, both men and women, as many as were willing hearted, and brought bracelets, and earrings, and rings, and tablets, all jewels of gold: and every man that offered offered an offering of gold unto the LORD….” Exodus 35:21-22 God’s desire is for our hearts to be stirred up and for us to have willing spirits and willing hearts to bring him an offering. He desires both men and women who are willing hearted and wise hearted to do His work. If we all would allow the Holy Spirit to stir us up and give us willing hearts and spirits to bring Him an offering, and make us wise hearts to do His work, there would be no lack of supply for accomplishing all that God has commanded His church to do. December 21. Winter solstice. The morning started out with a comfortable 50º but by the time we got home from shopping, it was down to 48. We’d thought it was going down, for when we came out of Aldi, there was an icy wind blowing. We were happy to get an early start on shopping today and be home by a little after 10:00. Thankful to have just a short list today. After putting groceries away, I put chicken on to cook for Daddy’s dinner. It was still mostly frozen so put it on early to be sure it was all cooked through by dinner time. Spent the rest of the morning and early afternoon before nap working on an MTC lesson. This afternoon, I found snow and snowmen pictures to use on my desktop and finished the MTC lesson. “5And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the LORD commanded to make. 6And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. 7For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much.” Exodus 36:5-7 Wouldn’t it be wonderful if God’s people today gave like this for the great work which Jesus commended His disciples to do before He left this world? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there was so much given for missions that enough missionaries could be sent today to all the unreached peoples of the world? Wouldn’t it be wonderful if God’s people gave so much that there was sufficient for all the work that needs to be done, and too much?
