June 18. Didn’t wake up until 6:20 this morning. After getting washed and dressed, I started fixing my morning drinks and also cooked a couple sunny-side up eggs to go with Daddy’s breakfast pancakes. After my own breakfast and some quiet time, I didn’t go out walking this morning. It was soup-making day. Put lentils, bouillon, butter, and water in the crockpot. Got out the veggies—spinach, carrots, mushrooms, onion—and prepared those to add to the pot. Turned on the crockpot and added more water, some herbs, and tofu. Sat down to relax a few minutes and crocheted a flap on the purse. Had a bowl of fruit and yogurt. Then Daddy and I checked Acts 22 together. Made quite a few changes in that chapter. Praise the Lord for His direction! Took a little stretch break and then got corrections made in the computer for Acts 22, set it up in the print file, and added English chapter 23. Crocheted a picot edging on the purse and started the handle but couldn’t remember how long to make it. Sent a text to Connie. Had lunch. Finished crocheting the handle on the purse. Put a button on. Took a couple pictures. Nap time. After nap, soup was done so I set it aside to cool. In the mean time, I set up last week’s journal notes in a file to send to Connie. Then I caught up on today’s journal notes before pureeing the soup. After that, Daddy and I reorganized our belongings that we had stored in the back spare bedroom so that room is now ready for Daddy to sleep in tonight. Afterward, I straightened up the table where I’ve been painting and then transferred pictures to the computer and edited them. After supper, I got an e-mail ready with pictures and the journal notes to go to Connie. Then I acknowledged all our supporters who receive e-mail updates, and the updates are now in the outbox ready to be sent when we get to C&C’s house tomorrow. “2There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God. 3Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.” I Samuel 2:2,3 We can learn much about our God in these two verses. He is all together holy—none is as holy as the LORD. He is a God of strength—there is no rock like our God. He is a God of knowledge—He knows everything. He weighs our actions—we cannot hide anything from God. June 19. Only one load of laundry today as we didn’t wash Daddy’s bedding. He moved to another bed last night. After we got to C&C’s house and unloaded the car, Daddy went out to hang clothes, and I put away food in the fridge. Then I set up my compuiter, looked at the e-mails and was going to work on Sunday school lessons today. However, I didn’t have the Pidgin Jenesis/Exodus booklet with me and couldn’t find it on any of our flash drives. So I answered an e-mail and then Daddy and I checked Acts 23. Not too many hard places today, praise the Lord. By then it was 11:00 and I had to cook a meal today. Put a pot of rice on to cook first. Then got out the fish and put it in the casserole dish, seasoned it, and popped it into the oven. Veggies were leftover. While things were cooking, I made corrections in Acts 23 and got that ready to set up in the print file. After nap, I took care of setting up Pidgin 23 alongside the English and then got chapter 24 English ready for tomorrow. Spent some time working on the orientation notes for MTC (Missionary Training Course) and translating a few Old Testament verses to go with them. Made a cake for Daddy, a late Father’s Day cake. After supper, I crocheted a pink and white scrunchie for my hair and did the dishes, and Connie frosted the cake.. Then we ate cake and had family devotions before Daddy and I came back to the prophets’ chamber. “1Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, 2As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! 3When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.” Isaiah 64:1-3 I found these verses very interesting in my morning Bible reading as they brought to mind the Hawaiian volcano Kilauea. How God desires to make known His name to His adversaries and desires for the nations to tremble at His presence! And yet so many still believe that their god Pele is the force behind all that is happening. So sad!
