April 15. It’s been a cloudy and windy day, but a warm day, with storms starting around 1:00, just as we were on our way home from church. Christy and Connie picked us up for church around 9:25. All the ladies met together in the gymnasium where Mrs. Ogle introduced a Bible study program that she has become excited about and wants to share with the other ladies to try to help them become interested in a good, organized, daily Bible study program.. She hopes to meet at least three times during the year just for an hour’s concentrated Bible study time. There really wasn’t enough time to cover everything she wanted to this morning. She said that several ladies expressed a desire to take part in the study time. I was glad to hear that. Pastor Ogle’s message from I Peter 3:7 was directed mainly toward the men, but had much meat for thought. The title was “Dwelling with Your Wife” and the theme was “To be right with God, you must treat your wife as the prized possession she is.” He gave a number of good illustrations from his relationship with his own wife. I appreciate how he always speaks kindly of his wife. We came right back here to the prophets’ chamber after church today, had our dinner and nap here, and did not go over to C&C’s house. There is a lot of work that I have been getting behind on, and need to spend time concentrating on catching up. Have gotten all the monthly updates for mailing ready to be printed when we go to C&C’s house tomorrow. Am thankful to have that much done. Made a different file for the ones that need to be changed to PDF and sent by e-mail. Daddy decided that we would go over to Morning Star for their evening service. We enjoyed the meeting there, and it was good to meet Pastor & Mrs. Linzy and a number of others who were there. The pastor was having problems with his allergies so one of the men of the church did the preaching tonight, giving an introduction to the book of Revelation which is what he started teaching in Sunday school this morning. Didn’t get back to the house until about 8:00. “The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms….” Deuteronomy 33:27a How comforting to know that we have such a refuge! And that His everlasting arms are underneath! So if we fall, to where will we fall? Into the everlasting arms, ready to keep us from harm and to lift us up.
