September 4. Another fogless morning, but—cloudless also. Praise the Lord for lovely sunshine. In the afternoon, the skies began to fill with clouds; strong, cool winds came up; and the temperature dropped quickly. The day did not go as planned; but God’s ways are not our ways, and He knew what lay ahead for today. We learned early this morning that MAF was coming and would be taking out a load of coffee. It was after mid-morning before Brad came. He was the sole pilot today. We were thankful for his taking the time to come down to the house to visit for a while and lend a listening ear. Then he prayed with us before he left and said that MAF would be having a prayer meeting tonight and would pray for us. The stress was at a super high level today. I had been wondering what to make for dinner today since we just had two days of kaukau, and before that we had three days of rice and tuna. During the night I thought of lentil patties. Lentils should be a good substitute for meat. So this morning, I cooked some lentils with seaweed and a number of herbs. Mixed that with flour, etc. at dinner time, and made it into patties to cook on the griddle. Very tasty, and a good filling meal along with some fresh cooked pumpkin. “34) And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: 35) And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” Daniel 4:34,35 Amen! September 5. Praise the Lord for sunshine this morning to dry the clothes. Praise the Lord for Judy’s willingness to do the laundry and sweep the floors in Sunny’s place. I was so discouraged yesterday afternoon and evening; but the Lord put on my heart to look back at some of the verses He gave us when we were going through a similar situation in years past. "And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee." (2 Chronicles 14:11) "Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded." (2 Chronicles 15:7) "12) O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. 15)….Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 17)Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you." 2 Chronicles 20:12,15b,17 Praise the Lord for His encouragement as we set our eyes on our Ebenezer! This morning, I set the verses up for printing so we can hang them up somewhere for future encouragement. This afternoon and evening, I worked on a new music lesson, and this evening, I printed the verses and the music lessons. Daddy received a text from the CRMF worker today saying that our solar equipment tested out well and that he would like to come in here and set things up week after next. Praise the Lord, and we pray that nothing or nobody will hinder the work of installation if this is the Lord’s will and time. September 6. Praise the Lord for a lovely morning so we could get out in the fresh air and sunshine while GIBC was having their meeting. Previous to that, Daddy and I spent time together singing, sharing the Word, and praying. By the time we got back from our walk, it was too late to make a dinner. So I wrote an e-mail, and then we had lunch, planning to make dinner in the evening. So dinner preparations took up quite a bit of afternoon time—washing, peeling and cutting up potatoes and yams to make mashed potatoes/yams; and washing cutting, peeling, and cutting up pumpkin. “Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.” Daniel 6:4 May we have such a testimony as Daniel.
