November 8. A lovely sunny morning. Sat outside to read Bible and pray. After breakfast, there was even time for Bible study. Did a little packing this morning. Around 9:00, we went out to Food Link to get white vinegar and to Seng Da to get flour, bread, eggs, and several other things. After we got back to the flat, there was a little time before dinner to fix up Connie’s picture for printing and to write an e-mail. Wrote another e-mail this afternoon and listened to a church meeting from VBC, Kittanning. They had just had revival meetings, and the pastor’s message was to help strengthen the preaching they had heard and seek to continue the revival. This evening, I worked more on Revelation and nearly finished through chapter 19. “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) November 9. The morning was warm, and the sunshine felt so good in the early hours as I sat outside on the veranda for quiet time and breakfast. It turned out to be a very hot and tiring day however. Went out shopping again this morning for just a few things — at Papindo central and uptown, Seigu market, and a small store called Hot Spot that often has yarn colors that nobody else has. Daddy also went a couple other places while I stayed in the car because I was too tired to do more walking around. I think I was tired just because it was too hot. It was already after 11:00 before we got back to the flat. I was weary and hungry. Needed a little protein snack. Then Wilson came along, and he helped Daddy tape up a couple more boxes, carry some items down to the truck, and take things over to MAF. It was already noon by then. I waited a while for Daddy to come back, but finally got too hungry and warmed up my bowlful of fish chowder. A few minutes after I’d started eating, Daddy came in. It was hard to sleep at nap time because it was so warm in the flat, so mostly I just lay there and rested. Later in the afternoon, we listened to a message by Pastor Matties of Bible Baptist Church in Belvedere, IL, preaching about “Let Us Go On unto Perfection,” based on Hebrews 5:11-6:3.
