October 10. It was quite wet out this morning after rain during the night so I didn’t sit outside or do any walking this morning. Was thankful for some quiet moments to have my prayer time inside. Today, Daddy and I checked Philippians 3, and then I made corrections in the computer and set things up in the print file. Thank you, Lord, for your help today. The rest of my working hours today were spent searching for and setting up black and white pictures in a coloring book file. They are to go with the outreach lessons. Parts of the evening, after doing dishes, were spent working on the autumn crochet project. Missionary Bill Kiefer presented his work in Brazil and preached on I Corinthians 16:9. God opens a door. It is a great door. John 4:35-38; Mathew 9:35-38. The call is very clear. The responsibility is very great. The opposition is hateful. The great door is offered to all who will enter. II Corinthians 5:14-20. “7But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” Philippians 3:7-10 October 11. A very rainy morning. We did not go out shopping today. With the Lord’s help, we did finish checking Philippians. That is all set up in the print file now, and we are ready to start Colossians shortly. The rest of the day, I worked at setting up coloring pages for the outreach lessons. By early afternoon, the rain was done, and the sun shone brightly. Daddy and I went out for a short walk in the sunshine around 4:00 and again after supper. A warm, gentle breeze was blowing, and it felt so good to be out in the fresh air. After our early evening walk, I made Daddy a batch of pancakes for his weekend breakfasts. Then I relaxed a while and finished as much as I could of the autumn crochet project. I just need two or three more leaves and a piece of felt to finish the project so should be able to get it done tomorrow at the girls’ house. After that I did the dishes. “14Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. 16With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16 Sweet are God’s promises! October 12. It was a chilly morning, a morning for sweaters. Too chilly to have the door open early, like we usually do, while we were getting and eating breakfast. After arriving at C&C’s house and saying good morning to Connie and Freddie, I put away our daily food in the fridge and then started the laundry. It was too chilly to sit outside this morning so had to have prayer time inside. While clothes were washing, I also picked out a few more leaves from Connie’s supply and stitched them onto the autumn craft project. Then I cut a piece of felt and glued it on the back. Took its picture and it was ready to go to the craft fair tomorrow. By then the laundry was done so I filled up the laundry basket, and Daddy and I hung out the clothes. After that, we took Connie out to Sandy’s to buy a few items that she needed. Made a stop at Dollar Tree for a few more items on the way home. By then it was lunch time. After lunch and after nap, I worked on a poster for the girls to set up at their table tomorrow at the craft fair. It has a big heart with their business name on it—Joyful Hearts Creations. This evening, I made a spiritual birthday card for a special friend. “30And Paul... received all that came in unto him, 31Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.” Acts 28:30,31.
