September 6. The morning zoomed by faster than we could keep up with it. I was up a little earlier than usual as I had been tossing and turning long enough (or more than long enough) and just couldn’t get comfortable in bed. But I was thankful for the extra time to cook some veggies and meat for my breakfast. Right after breakfast, we left here to go shopping. Six stops today! Lidl first. We spent quite a bit of time in there trying to find things that we couldn’t find. A short stop at WalMart. Didn’t need much there today. And a short stop at Aldi. Next stop was the bank. Then the discount meat market to try to find some good snacks and other food items, but the pickin’s were sparse today. And last of all, we made a stop at Big Lots to get some sea salt. It was about 11:15 when we arrived back at the apartment. After putting away all the groceries, I was really hungry. (Hadn’t taken a snack out with me.) So I fixed a bowlful of fruit, yogurt, and nuts which satisfied me for about an hour. Then I warmed up a cupful of soup and enjoyed that. We had nap and then Daddy and I checked over chapter 12 of II Corinthians, after which I got the corrections made in the computer file and set everything up in the print file. We praise the Lord again for His help and wisdom. This evening, I did some crocheting and did the dishes, and Daddy and I went for a little walk and we did some Bible study together. “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” Ezekiel 22:30 Sad words. Where is there a man to make up the hedge and stand in the gap before God for our land? September 7. A little before 8:30, we loaded up the car and headed for the girls’ house. After getting a few food items put away in the fridge, I put the laundry into the washing machine. Then I made a smoothie and sat outside to drink it and to have a little more prayer time. I forgot my prayer notebook, but could remember the daily requests and other needs. Then I walked a couple laps around the driveway. By then the clothes were done washing, and I got them ready to hang out. Daddy and I hung them out, and we were happy to get back inside as it was getting quite muggy out by then. Also hungry mosquitoes live out back there by the trees. After coming inside, I got my computer booted up, and we checked the last chapter of II Corinthians. Praise the Lord, Corinthians is now complete! When that was done, I washed yesterday’s dishes. Christy hadn’t had a chance to do them last night because she had to go to a Quick Books seminar. After washing dishes, I had time to get corrections made for II Corinthians 13 and get that set up in the print file. Also wrote an introduction for Galatians and put the English for chapter 1 in the print file. This afternoon, I wrote a couple e-mails and deleted a few. Also worked more on outreach lessons for MTP. One of the e-mails I wrote was to our PNG sponsor, and this evening, we heard back from him with this message: “Hope to pick up permit after Independence Day here! Have all paperwork ready! Will tell you when I have it in hand!“ Praise the Lord for this answer to prayer! Can God win the battle in the valleys? God can! “And there came a man of God, and spake unto the king of Israel, and said, Thus saith the LORD, Because the Syrians have said, The LORD is God of the hills, but he is not God of the valleys, therefore will I deliver all this great multitude into thine hand, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.” I Kings 20:28 And today is the seventh day, the seventh day of September. It was the seventh day when Israel joined battle with the Syrians and won. All week, since Pastor Simpson’s message on Sunday, I haven’t been able to get that number seven off my mind. How did it fit in? And today is the seventh day. Praise God for victories! Please keep praying! There will be even more rejoicing when we hear that Dad and Mom's paperwork has been picked up and is all ready.
