November 20. Gibson had charge of lotu this morning and preached from John 10 on the Great Shepherd knowing His sheep, protecting them and providing their needs, and always holding them in His hand. The new lesson in math was fairly easy and short. We went over the spelling lesson together, and there were many unfamiliar words in the exercises so it took the whole class time. In science they had a quiz. I was glad for an earlier nap today, as I have been getting tired out this week. Didn’t sleep any longer though. When I woke up, it was already time to feed the fire again. Then I tried (unsuccessfully again) to send e-mails, wrote lesson plans, and wrote some math exercises on the chalkboard. Answered the door quite a few times again today. Opo brought more firewood and wanted to know if Daddy is going to be able to get him a razor. Tomas came a couple times about a question on Exodus as he will be speaking to the school students at their closing program tomorrow. Mata’s mother brought uxai (a delicious local vegetable). Wenke’s wife brought a popo. Gibson is having stomach pains and wanted to buy some milk. Nuandauro wanted some Maggi to go with her greens. Can’t remember who else came, if anyone. Amos is holding youth meeting this evening. Chat time with Daddy seemed to go too fast this evening; but, Lord willing, he will be home the day after tomorrow. After talking with Daddy this evening, I worked on the studies in Revelation until bedtime. November 21. The Lord gave us such a beautiful day. Thank you, Lord. Life was in action early around here this morning. Mr. Rooster came to wake me up right at 5:45 as usual. There was a knock on the door even before I was up and dressed so that person had to wait. About every five minutes after that, someone was at the door for something or other. I finally had time to fix my breakfast a little after 7:00. Except for the four school students being here until 1:00, this part of the village has been deserted all day. The eighth-grade graduation program has been going on down at the school grounds. I’m guessing that my four students went down there after class too. Praise the Lord for giving an e-mail connection today. It was enough to bring five e-mails in, but did not send any out. So the quarterly newsletter has still not gone to Christy for printing and mailing. Tried to get an e-mail connection again this evening, but could not. “17Bow down thine ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply thine heart unto my knowledge. 18For it is a pleasant thing if thou keep them within thee; they shall withal be fitted in thy lips. 19That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 20Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Proverbs 22:17-21
