March 17. It was such a long night. Thought I would sleep really well since I was so tired, but was awake for a long time in the early a.m. hours. After praying in bed for a long time and still not getting back to sleep, I finally decided to get up, get something to eat, and read my Bible. It was about 4:30 a.m. (or so I thought). I could hardly believe it was only 4:30. The night had been sooooo long. Had a bite to eat. Read Bible and prayed. Thought maybe then I should go back to bed for a while. It was now around 5:30 according to the stove clock. When I went back into the bedroom, Daddy was getting up. “Are you getting up already?” “Yep. It’s almost 6:30.” “6:30?” “It depends on what clock you look at.” “Is this clock not working right?” It was working right, but it had never been set ahead when daylight savings time came along. Neither had the stove clock been changed. So I didn’t go back to bed after all. It was time to begin the new day. Or continue it. Lots of work to do. More unpacking and organizing. Daddy helped me rearrange our bedroom so we could put the rocking chair in there so I would have a quiet place to sit for quiet time. We sat down and talked about some things that needed to be done and made a shopping list. Daddy went out shopping. I did the dishes, and Connie and I did more work around the house. Later in the morning, I relaxed at the computer. Cleaned some e-mails out of the inbox, got the income report up to date, started proofreading the “Lav, Mesi, Marimari” (Love, Mercy, Grace) booklet. (See picture below post) By the time our nap was over this afternoon, Christy was home from work. She helped us rearrange the living room so the furniture fits better. And then we rearranged the dining room. Then I relaxed and tickled the piano keys a little bit. It is in dire need of a tuning. It isn’t quite like my keyboard so it is going to take some getting used to. “5And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great. 6And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Revelation 19:5,6 March 18. Was awake at 4:30 again this morning. I guess Daddy had lain awake for a while too. We both got up at 5:30. After breakfast and quiet time, we went to the Laundromat and did an extra large load of wash. Brought the wet clothes back to the house, and I hung things out to dry (Connie helped too) while Daddy went off to the stores again (this time to get slats for Connie’s bed, a lawn mower (the perfect clean air type - push tasol (only), since we have only a wee bit of lawn), envelopes for the update letters that need to be mailed, eggs, juice, and an overseas stamp. Before Daddy left, he called the landlady about the electric current coming through our water faucets in the bathtub. Mel had come with his voltmeter last night and measured 49 volts of electricity coming through. Our landlady called the electrician, but he won’t be able to come until Tuesday. After hanging clothes, I found a blanket for Connie to put on Christy’s bed, had my vitamin drink and then lay down for a nap. I was so tired, my body wouldn’t do anything else. Slept about an hour and a half. It was going on 12:30 when I got up, and Daddy was home waiting for lunch. After lunch, Daddy put the new lawn mower together and then went for a nap. I cleaned out the basket and bags of things that Martha had sent, gave Connie what she wanted, and put other things away where it seemed like a good place for them. Later I started addressing envelopes until it dawned on me that that was a good job for Connie to do. She finished the job, and Daddy and I rearranged the office because the sun was too bright for my eyes with the computer desk under the window. After resting a bit, Daddy and I went out and brought in the clothes. After supper, I wrote several thank you notes. “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6
