August 31. Back to school today—at last, after what seemed like a very long week last week. Praise the Lord for His presence with us throughout each trial. During part of my free time this morning, I started an e-mail to C&C. Later in the morning, I worked on I John outline. After school, the men stayed and helped take light fixtures down in the far end of the meeting room, put one of them up in another place in the near end, and put coffee plastic across the room to divide the section that belongs to GIBC from the section that goes with the house. It was quite late when we had dinner and even later, of course, when we went to nap. After nap, Daddy and I hunted for something to attach to the church area door so a lock could be put on the outside. We were thankful to find just the right thing and also to clean out and throw out some junk that will probably never be useful. This evening, shortly after we sat down for supper, and Daddy had gone down to start the generator, there was a knock on the door. When I opened the door, how surprised I was to see Maura standing there! Thania is watching over their Dad right now, and Maura is back in the village for a break. She came back three weeks ago with those who attended the ladies’ meetings at Bantura. After she left, we put water on for bath. A little later, I did dishes and then wrote more in the e-mail to C&C, but didn’t finish it. “20) Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: 21) And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: 22) He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.” Daniel 2:20-22 Blessed be the name of our sovereign God who is omniscient and omnipotent. September 1. Wow! the beginning of the ninth month of the year already! A chilly, but fogless morning, with little dew. The sun shed its warm rays upon the village, and the day warmed up quickly. Judy left school early today as she was coming down with a cold and did not feel well. Dallas has been battling a bad cold too. During free time this morning, I finished the e-mail to the girls. Also worked on the I John outline. After school today, the men put a latch on the meeting room door so it can be locked, and Mata filled up the washing machine. This afternoon, I proofread the prophecy document I had typed for Nuanda, so was able to print out copies this evening. Also finished the I John outline this evening—praise the Lord! “But there is a God in heaven….” Daniel 2:28a Powerful words! How thankful I am that there is an omnipotent and omniscient God in heaven!
