October 1. The first day of October already. The beginning of the last quarter of the year. Whoa! Where has 2018 gone? It was Charlotte day once again. We left here a little after 8:00 so I would have time to print out a crochet pattern before we headed to Charlotte. We had to wait a while for Connie to be ready though as she had her times mixed up and thought we didn’t need to leave until 9:15. We did manage to get off a hair before 9:00 and actually made good time getting to TJ’s in spite of a larger amount of traffic than usual. We hastened to get our shopping done; and, amazingly by the time we were in the car and taking off, we had twenty minutes to make the ten-minute run to Dr. Schulman’s. It was about 11:30 when we headed home. There was a lot of traffic on the way home too. Dropped Connie off at the girls’ house, sorted out our groceries (we had purchased and bagged them all together), said good-bye, and headed for our apartment, hungry and tired. Had lunch, made bed, and had nap. This afternoon, I wrote a couple outreach lessons. Fixed a potful of carrots, onions, mushrooms, and summer squash for my supper. This evening, I crocheted more on the doily and more on the snowman, and Daddy and I went out for an evening walk and had a time of Bible reading and prayer together. October 2. Beautiful sunrise this morning. A brisk, cool morning. Fall is beginning to show its strength. As soon as we got to C&C’s house and had said good morning to Connie and Freddie, I put away our dinner and supper foods in the fridge and then made a smoothie. Sat outside to drink the smoothie and enjoy the quiet for prayer time. Borrowed a throw from Connie’s closet to wrap around my shoulders as it was a wee bit chilly out this morning. After I came back in and got my computer running, Daddy and I checked the rest of Ephesians chapter 4. Praise the Lord for His help! I also got corrections made in the computer file and then set things up in the print file. I still had time after that to get last week’s journal notes set up to send to Connie. Also transferred a few pictures to the computer and edited them so I would have pictures to send her as well. This afternoon, I picked out some greeting cards—one birthday card for Pastor Surrett, one for Sara, and a thank you card for Mary M. Wrote some notes in them and put them in Daddy’s Bible to be put in the church mailboxes tomorrow evening. Also started writing another outreach lesson. Then Jean B called, and I enjoyed a chat with her before supper. After supper, I did the dishes and crocheted. We had family time in the Word and prayer, and then we came home. I crocheted a little more and finished the snowman’s head.
